Works with CenturyLink ADSL/VDSL service (I have one, my friend has the other, works on both DSL types). Don't pay CenturyLink to rent your modem.

our modem got fried in the last storm, got this one, easy to set up and get working. Just needed info from our provider and it works great!

As long as you follow the setup instructions on the manual; this modem works as it is described. Be sure to update the modem firmware.

My purchase of this NetGear modem from Best Buy solved the problems which I was experiencing with the previous modem which I was using.

This modem gave me way better performance than the stock modem Windstream provided me. However, when Windstream discovered that I was using another modem, they blocked it. This was confirmed after I replaced this modem with another just like it. And when I notified Windstream that the connectivity issue was then and not the modem (cause it was new), they fixed the issue for a day and they blocked me again. The "NETGEAR - Vdsl/Adsl Broadband DSL Modem" is great and works very very well, as long as your provider doesn't block it.

Perfect product for DSL system replacement. Mine was outdated and not functioning. This product works great with newer systems but just would not work with my old phone lines.

If you're looking for a modem I recommend going with this one. It's a great price and made by NetGear. Can't go wrong with either.

simple and reliable solution for an old school person still using broadband through phone (hubby); great replacement for modem.

This is a pretty standard DSL modem. Not loaded with a lot of features but doesn't cost much anyway, so I guess you get what you pay for.

This was the only DSL modem available at Bestbuy. I love Netgear products and this one did not dissapoint. Setup was very easy.

The external DSL modem was simple to install & interfaced simply and smoothly with my Netgear router. No problems at all.

Good product. However the box says usable with Century Link but it would not work with CL unless you reset the link codes.

I bought this to replace a aging Windstream router that was dropping the DSL signal. Just launced the set up wizard and all was well! I am getting excellent download/upload speeds much faster and stable than the windstream modem ever provided. I Now I get the speed I am paying for! I am also using a TP-Link Archer C50 Dual Band AC Router. Nothing fancy, just does what it is supposed to do.

Incredibly easy setup...almost too easy. I wanted to make it harder than it was. It works perfect for my parents.

It took substantial time to get and then to install and then it broke in a few days. This was disappointing.

I purchased this as a replacement for a modem I previously had. It wasn't what I was needing but it's a great product if that's what you are in the market for.

We bought this to try and speed up our slooow internet. It did seem to help some. I think our provider is the problem.

Great product which works with my ISP Windstream. Easy set up and installation.

Modem is good for small house (upto 2 rooms). Sometime modem gets hot and needs a restart. Good for the price.

Still using it after around 3 years. The lifetime is good and the signal strength is strong.
