I bought this modem along with the Netgear Nighthawk Router as I wanted a separate power source for a stronger push. The router I bought with this was not compatible with my set up but had it been, I'm sure the product would have been great.

Upgraded internet service and this was the ticket.

Went in without undue difficulty . Works very well.

I was not sure if this would work with Century Link and so I brought it and tried it out and before I hooked it up I looked at my plan I have with CenturyLink was not going to work. There was nothing wrong with this item just not compatible.

Sales person was very helpful in helping me chose the product that best fits my needs. I have been renting a modem from a cable service and it is pretty old. Computer was very slow and wifi was terrible. Big difference and i saved ten dollars a month

I've always had Comcast as my Internet provider. I recently moved into a building that had only CenturyLink. For the first time I needed a DSL modem. I checked them all out and determined that this Netgear modem was the best.

Bought as a replacement for an aging Netopia DSL modem being used on Frontier, had to restart and reboot a couple of times to get the connection all copacetic. Been able to say bye bye to dropped connections, major relief.

It worked for what I needed it to do. However my Isp sucks and so I would lose service alot. But the item is good for what I needed. So if you need a modem and have good internet then I would get this one.

Plugged it in and within minutes I was connected! I was in a pinch as I just moved to a new house and our old modem didn't work. I grabbed this one because it works with Centurylink. Works like a charm!

I bought this to replace the modem/router combo that Frontier gave me. I already own a Netgear R6400 router that handles my network, and wanted a simple modem ONLY. After using the wizard to setup the DM200, everything seemed great! My Windows 10 computer was up and running on my Frontier DSL internet. However, as soon as I unplugged my computer from the modem and hooked up my router, I had no internet? I looked at the modem's settings and discovered that the DM200 is actually a modem/router combo. So I tried switching it to modem-only mode... No internet. The router has the proper credentials for Frontier, but it seems the modem isn't allowing the router to pass them on, hence no connection. Called Netgear tech support after FINALLY tracking down a phone number. I explained my setup and what I was trying to accomplish (getting the modem to CORRECTLY work as one and NOT as a combo unit). After "troubleshooting" for about 10 minutes, which consisted of rebooting the modem, then unhooking the router and connecting my computer, the tech had me change the modem back to modem/router-combo mode and declared my problem fixed... except for the part where that configuration doesn't work with my current router, only with my computer plugged into it!! So I returned this $60 plastic paperweight, and am stuck with my old unit from Frontier. TL/DR: So if you want this to work with Frontier DSL, you only want your computer hard-wired to the DM200, and you have NOTHING else to connect to the internet or a home network, then this will work for you. If you have Frontier and want to actually USE your internet like most people, then buy something else. Oh, and DON'T BOTHER WITH TRYING TO GET HELP FROM NETGEAR TECH "SUPPORT"!

Unfortunately this item was not compatible with my system. As always Best Buy Happy Valley location is the greatest. They are always eager to help and find items that I am looking for.

I purchase this item in order to set it up with Century Link and even with the technician at home I was unable to set it up, Therefore I return it. Good, cheap but time consuming.

Probably a good modem but claims that it works with vectored DSL are not accurate. I finally had to go with the Century L:ink modem and returned this one when the service tech came over and could not get this one to work. I wanted the new Century Link 40 Mega service which is not a banded service but is a vectored service. The century link modem works great and I am actually getting more then the advertised 40 Megabit service.

I am using this in combination with 2 R7000 routers for a custom home network. It handles 6 video streams and online gaming for 2 game systems no problem. Performing better than expected.

Our old modem went out on a Sunday! and we both work from home and couldn't wait to get it replaced by mail, so we went to Best Buy and they had what we needed-of course...Good Deal !

This modem has worked well with Century-Link. I had to get my user ID and password from Century-Link as part of the set-up. The modem has worked seamlessly since installation.

This modem may not setup automatically, it may require manual setup the VPI and VCI, get info from provider, Need hook up to wireless router if you want to use WiFi.

Eh the manual didn't help as much so I looked up online how to set it up. I just decided to get a different router since this didn't work as great as I thought

The item arrived promptly but once I opened the box i realized it was not what I needed. Returned it to the local store for a full refund with no problem.

I have never had any issues with this product.the only thing that is a little annoying is that you only get Netgear support for 90 days... After that you're on your own!
