    I needed a DSL Modem to replaced the one purchased from my IP. Unfortunately the Net Gear VDSL/ADSL proved to be incompatible with their system so I had to return it to the store.

    This modem clearly stated on the box that it was compatible with frontier. However in Connecticut it is NOT compatible with frontier. Be careful if purchasing this modem and have frontier DSL

    I purchased this to replace the AT&T modem that stopped working. 1. The Netgear modem did not work. 2. They did not supply a customer service phone number. The only way to contact them is via their website - impossible without an internet connection. (I'm talking about customer support while trying to install the modem; not stop what I'm doing to find another internet access.) 3. Only after opening the box do they include information that more special information may be needed to complete the installation. 4. Both the ethernet and power cable were much shorter than the original modem cables.

    Advertised as compatible with Century Link but spent 5 hours on phone with Netgear and Century link and was unable to get it to work. Returned it.
