My new internet provider is century link they charge 9 dollars a month to lease a modem so it makes sense to buy this modem let it pay itself in 6 months. It sounded good until the trouble started with connection problems several hours talking to both companies (net gear and century link ) and after doing more searching I found out this is not only waste of money but more important time and aggravation. I returned the modem and spend a little extra for another modem and problem solved. Don't waste your time buying this product.

Sales person said it was slow but the faster one was 200.00 and that was out of the question. I have telephone hook up so there weren't any choices available. It works but is frustrating.

Finally linked to router after 6 hours of fighting with ATT and the only lasted 20 days before faling and having to be returned and wouldnt give our money back only store credit.

This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. After an hour of trying to get help (just plugging, unplugging and resetting the modem over and over) the customer service rep got very upset when I asked to speak to an actual tech. She also kept talking over me when I tried to explain what was happening, despite my asking her not to interrupt. Her english was very poor and a real barrier to effective communication. I would go without internet before buying anything from this company ever again.

We've been through three Netgear DM200 units. One DOA. One worked briefly. The last one worked for some things and not for others. We've spent scores of hours online with Netgear. Have tried to use their web support and have enlisted various technicians. No one can make it work right. THEN -- to add insult to injury, after all that, BestBuy refused to give us our $$ back when we returned the non-functioning unit! It had taken more than two weeks to get to this point. That's the end of any shred of BestBuy loyalty!!!

Worst set up I've ever seen in a modem..... Had to call customer service and they got it connected..... Lasted 5 minutes and it wasn't working again. I'll never buy another one.

I am returning this modem because I keep having to reset it. When I do it requires me to go through the complete setup again. Ordering another AT&T supported from AT&T.

We had problems as soon as we hooked it up, and it was not compatible with Centurylink like the Best buy employee told us.

Even that the router has preinstalled most DSL providers, it does not get the signal easily. I had to returned since it never connected to my provider.

The salesman sold me this modem and a Router but, after hours and trying to get help from my server, Best Buy, Net Gear representative in India and some friends that are very computer smart, I gave up and returned the equipment to the store and purchased a combination Router/Modem from my server that was easy to install, cheaper, and solved the problem with my internet connection and wifi for all my devices.

We bought this product and then took it back because it didn't work for us. You might have a better experience than we did.

It does not work with at&t u-verse. It actually states that on the box before you buy it.

Disappointed by store recommendation. They said it would work, but not what I needed.

Used the modem with my DSLextreme service in Big Bear City area. It is my vacation house and I need 2 hour drive to get there. Constantly lost connection to Internet with this modem as well as with DSLextreme modem. Finally switched to Charter service. Tried to return the modem but Best Buy did not accept and gave me only store credit. Frustrated and will never buy anything in Best Buy.

Spent hours attempting to set up as a replacement for failed modem.Trouble getting to GUI setup. Finally called Netgear support who stated that this was the 2016 version and it was pulled due to having known issues. (The ones I encountered) Netgear support instructed me to return the device and get one that had a 2017 production date. Unfortunately, no 2017 models were available.

Had modem for about 2 months and had to return it- stopped working.

Was told it was computable with our internet provider but it was not

Bought this and was told by my tech guy to take it back. He said there are much faster modems

Had to return as it didn't work for hooking up our system.

Did not even last one month before it quit working.
