Worthless
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this modem after giving up on the rebuilt modem/routers we were getting fromCenturylink internet. The warranty on the modem was 90 days from Net Gear. The modem was not very simple to setup and required a nearly 2 hour phone call to the company to set it up. After getting it setup, it worked fine but after the 90 day period, it simply stopped working. After doing a hard reset and trying to get the modem reinstalled,it would not follow the online setup wizard. I called Netgear and they told me that the problem could be resolved but because it was out of warranty, I needed to buy the tech support program they have, they wanted to charge me 149.00 for a year package before they could resolve or even help me with the issue. I am severely disappointed with the help I got in buying this product and I will never buy anything from netgear again. What a worthless purchase and huge waste of my money for something that had decent reviews on Bestbuy's website.

Not for CenturyLink
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this device for use with CenturyLink and I would NOT recommend this product. I have spent more than five hours getting this product to load including a second trip to the store as I believed the product was defective. If you have CenturyLink I would not suggest using this product.

Severe firmware issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With centurylink, the DM200 in router mode does not allow for wifi calling on Verizon through any configuration. Tried alternate nat options open and sip disabled. Using Orbi as a router, also tried orbi as an access point only. In modem only (bridge) mode both with vlan passthrough and without, all video streaming services break through any set top box, smart tv, blu ray... Various drm and connectivity issues are reported, only amazon prime video will work. Amazon connected to brand new fire cube in "mayday mode" and was baffled, shipped a new fire cube thinking it was the cube defective as diagnosis showed internet servers connectivity.. This modem is absolute junk with centurylink if you are trying to do any of these things and more I am sure. It has some serious limitations and does not correctly follow protocols like sip alg and nat for various use cases which may or may not get used by everyone. updated firmware 7/18/2018 1.0.0.56 I believe users who have had a good experience on centurylink with this modem have likely limited enough use cases that they have not hit one of the many firmware issues with this device. Combined with seriously inconsistent setup issues, having to do things "in the right order" and lets just say very patiently, many reboots and retries with exactly the same settings and different results, difficult troubleshooting due to intermittency of issues, this would be the worst vdsl2 modem experience I have encountered.

Works great for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old adsl modem stopped working and this was the most inexpensive one I could find. Has been working great. It's even a vdsl modem in case Centurylink decides to upgrade their connection here.

Horrible!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this modem for my mom to replace her older Verizon router. I am pretty tech savy and spent about 14 hours and never could get this to install. I did give up and she is going to attempt to return it. The worst part about it? It totally wiped out her router information. I had to spend around 2 hours getting her router reconnected and her computer to recognize it. I certainly do not recommend this modem. Oh, and one of Best Buy employees recommended this router. Guess he hasn't tried to install it and then have it wipe everything about the router out.

Didn't work with AT&T
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Netgear support said they couldn't help unless I contacted AT&T first.. Netgear would not even let me tell them what the problem was. AT&T said there was no problem on my end and they offered assistance and they couldn't get it to work. Since Netgear didn't want to help me, I am returning it. I put my old modem back on and like AT&T said, there was no problem on my end.
