    this modem is good for average speed. The outer body heats up really fast. Need to troubleshoot for installation.

    So far our house is enjoying this DSL modem. I've rarely had any issues with it. Maybe once or twice I had to recycle. Works like a champ!

    I got thia expecting it to be a wifi router all in one, my mistake it was not. It is nice and small and hace had good luck with Netgear products i the past.

    Our Century Link modem died and they wanted to sell us one for $100. This was half the price and works way better.

    This is my second purchase of this Netgear router. The first one has served me well, so when I needed a second one, I went with the same one again.

    The modem is also a router with basic firewall and a nice, easy to use interface. The administrator account is by default, Admin. I believe the password can contain as many as 30 characters, including alphanumeric characters, numbers and special characters (e. g., "*") . The login uses the non-secure http: protocol.. As a bonus, the modem works with Netgear's GENIE App, which is available for both Windows and the MAC OS. (I installed GENIE in Windows and liked using it.) Since the unit is not wireless, there's no point in installing the App on one's cellphone.

    HUbby had to call customer support to get it totally set up. He is an experienced with computers so that was a frustration. Customer service was quick to help.
