I had to set up separate bands to prevent microwave interference. I previously had a 1900 with advertised coverage of 1800 sq ft. This provided ok coverage for our 2-story house of 2900 sq ft. This router advertised coverage of 2500 sq ft, but I still only get good coverage (same as before) and only when I set the 2.4 signal to upstairs devices.

Not bad for the price

My home is just under 2,200 sq ft and this router covers my entire home with no problem. Currently I am capped at 2.5Gbps, however, I am going to experiment with the multi-gig agregation to see if I can get 5Gps out of my ISP's 8Gps that I am paying for.

Was amazed at the speed and ease of setup. Of course we have always appreciated the reliability of this brand. With all the options it was overwhelming to choose but we were really happy we stuck with NETGEAR!
