The agent set up my new computer & installed my Microsoft Home & Office software. Great! Then I paid to transfer all my info from old computer to the new one. 100gb. None of my emails in the sub folders came across. My financial info in Yahoo didn’t come across. I texted the agent 2 days later & he never responded. $375 for setup & transfer not a good deal. Very disappointed.

We recently purchased a new Apple iMac desktop computer. We made arrangements to have the data transferred from the old Apple computer to the new one at the store. We also purchased for our new iMac Microsoft Office 2024 Home. The transfer of the data seemed to have gone well. However, the incorrect form of Microsoft Office was installed. We called the Geek Squad and I believe, we were eventually transferred to an agent somewhere in Southeast Asia. We could not understand what the gentleman was saying. He installed two items on our computer which were unwanted. He Google Chrome and a free addition of Microsoft Office Word. We made it clear that we were unsatisfied with his approach and an appointment was made at our local Best Buy store in Mentor, Ohio. We met with an outstanding Geek Squad member by the name of Shawn. He was a good listener, empathetic, and assured us that he would make our computer “right”. We picked up the computer and brought it home plugged it in and everything seems to be working correctly. You also need to understand that we are both in our 80s and it was very difficult to get down on the floor, under the desk and unplug/plug the computer. This would not have been necessary if the appropriate Microsoft Office had been installed at the store. I believe that you really need to look hard at your offshore Geek Squad members and their language and communication skills. Are there agents available in North America?

Alicia, Rich, Zach and Cole were the best. Extremely patient with my wife and I as they helped us to get our new computer to work properly. Alicia spent most of our time explaining how the computer worked. The other three gentlemen helped us clean up our mistakes!

Agent Branden K. could not be any better than what he is. I am not familiar with computers. He was very patient with me giving me instructions even when I called him back the second time. He made me feel at ease asking questions, which helped me to understand faster than if I had been under stress working with someone that was not patient. He is perfect for the job.
