I feel this game missed the point of what made Snap 64 so special and took away the cool secrets and incentives and just made a game where you're on rails and take pictures of pokemone in albeit pretty good looking environments but i think they just have too much going on.

Great game - combines the nostalgia of the original game on N64 with the new era of Pokemon. A lot more content and levels than you would think as well. Recommend for any Pokemon fan!

Super nostalgic and it’s a great update to the original Pokémon Snap game. New Pokémon, new places and everything looks so alive and vivid. Wonderful game to add to your collection.

While I was excited for this game for nostalgia reasons, I could have never guessed how much I was going to end up loving this game.
Was it worth the 20+ year wait and $60 price tag? 1,000% YES!
The Pokémon are absolutely beautiful and it brought on a childish wonder about the Pokémon world that has only ever had this level of magic in my head until now.
As the Pokémon community only continues to get more toxic and negative as the years go on I’m sure this game will get it’s fair share of hate from the loud mouth people who had to see other people enjoy something, but if you are a Pokémon fan and love the world, this game will not let you down!

Great game that improves on the original in many ways. The presentation is amazing and looks incredible on Switch. The gameplay is fun and intuitive. It has a story mode that teaches you all the basics and it does so over the course of several levels. Everything is also for the most part voiced very well, which is great especially for younger players. The only downside (similar to the original) is that the game doesn't necessarily tell you what will get you a higher star rating on your photos. If you are interested at all in Pokemon, you should pick this game up, or at least have it on your radar.

Pokemon Snap for N64 was one of my favorites as a kid. Years later we finally have a follow up on switch and it's so good. Nice casual game that any one can enjoy.

I had a lot of Nostalgia for the original game on the N64 and this most certainly is a sequel to it, but that appears to be all there is to my affinity. Nostalgia. A new one to which I have no attachment comes across as a little boring.

This isn't your typical Pokemon RPG, so don't go in expecting that. Instead of battling Pokemon, what you'll be doing is riding through various locations and taking photos of wild Pokemon.
I was a fan of the original Pokemon Snap on the Nintendo64 and I think it took far too long for them to give us a sequel, but they finally did and it lives up to the original. I feel like this is a nice game to relax with and pass the time with once you've gotten a little bored of whatever other games you've been playing, because it is perfect to just pick up and play in short bursts.
Once I've beaten the story mode though I don't really see myself returning to the game too often. Unless you are a perfectionist and don't mind replaying levels to get a better photo of a particular Pokemon that you might've missed the first time you played, the replay value might be a little lacking and that's the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating.

I felt like a little kid again the entire time I was playing this game. Growing up, Pokemon Snap was always one of my most favorite games. All we knew of Pokemon at that time was from the anime, and the mainline Pokemon games and the Stadium games. It was a very ambitious style of Pokemon game for its time.
This new one did not disappoint and provided that nostalgia factor for me. It was great being able to take pictures of Pokemon from games from Red and Blue all the way to the newest generation of games Sword and Shield!

I didn't play the original Pokemon Snap much but wanted to try this new one after getting back into the series recently. What I found was a fun and well made game that compliments the main series.
The game has a number of courses where you have a limited amount of time to take pictures of various Pokemon, with the goal of snapping certain types pictures, often by interacting with the Pokemon. I really like how the courses have different routes and that there are night and day versions of each one that change up which Pokemon you'll see. The game looks great and is very polished, but is best played in short bursts. Also the game is kind of pricey for what it is, although Nintendo has released updates with additional courses that helps with that.

I missed out on the original Pokemon Snap because I didn't have a Nintendo 64, so being able to play this new and improved version is a welcome surprise. This game has a lot to do. There are a ton of Pokemon, which you won't see all at once; as you gain more experience on each course, you'll discover new Pokemon, and previously discovered Pokemon will get more comfortable around you. There are day and night cycles, and different types of locations to discover. I also like being able to edit my photos and share them online.

The game is a great return to the Snap formula, but if you just want to play through the story, its kinda short. However, if you wanted to conplete the in-game activities and edit your photos, you can sink a ton of time into some solid challenges and features.
