Another Mario game

I've played the majority of Mario games right from the original Super Mario Brothers. This game has a lot of really solidly built features: super sharp clean graphics, catchy familiar music, tight controls, and lots of stages... The problem is, it's all been done before. By the same creators, the same characters, and all over the place. This Mario game just doesn't bring anything new to the table. The powerups in this game are the typical Mario fare: Raccoon suit, fire flower, star man, mushroom... they brought back the mini shroom and mega shroom (though you won't see those much). They're pandering to beginners by offering a white raccoon suit, which makes you invincible for an entire stage. This is a great Mario game *for someone who hasn't played much Mario before*. For them, it would be amazing. For the rest of us who've been playing Mario for 20 years, it's really forgettable.
