excellent game for super mario fans, excellent graphice

New Super Mario Bros. 2 is a good game. I really like the coin gimmick, has great graphics, and great level design. But this is definetly the worst 2D Mario game I played in a long time. It was a bad idea to release two 2D Mario games in the same year. The game has no originality, the coin gimmick has NO purpose in the game, has bad 3D, ripped music from NSMBWii, and no online co-op. It's a good game, but I would only recommend to people who never and not planning on playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

New Super Mario Bros 2 keeps the classic franchise chugging alone and it does so quite well. Platforming really is where the 3DS shines and it is evident here. The game is a lot fun and looks great as well. The biggest draw backs are that it is pretty easy to "beat" the game in the traditional sense (to play through the levels to completion), and doesn't take very long to do so. Going back for coin challenges and such add length but it is worth keeping in mind.

I'm 34 and I had trouble completing the game. My niece could never finish the game and she is 10. Besides that, the game is great. I am an 80's baby, so Mario is my favorite. The Mario series has gotten so much better. And on the 3DS, it's even better than ever.

This is a good game, only a good game, nothing too game changing i own the original and its pretty much the same but the gimmick is just to collect tons of coins. I still had fun with the game but i expected a little bit more from Nintendo. The only cool new thing is the DLC, new levels on a mario game ?! YES! Its not the greatest thing in the world, but im glad Nintendo is finally getting into the DLC market :)

Nice upgrade. Keeps my daughter busy on trips. My daughter has this Mario on the Wii too

Fun game great mario game you have to collect a lot of coins

Mario games are usually really good. This one has great story and new powers to battle bowser and family. Can't get enough am really stoked to get 1 million coin.

I like the game. However, I haven't finish it and it does seems to be a lil short. But I'm def going to keep that game anyway when i finish. I'm pretty sure I will play it again cuz of the coin rush.

Overall, excellent quality. Graphics and music are really good.

My son likes this game, Mario is a classic but once you beat the game it doesn't have much to do afterwards and he completes his games pretty quickly for a 10 year old.

I bought this game as a present for my fiance. Tha last Mario Bros. game I played was in 1995, so I love this one.

Must have for Mario fans!! My 6years son enjoys it. So it's easy enough for him.

If you've played other entries in the "New" series then there's not much new to offer with this one.

My daughter loves this game for her 3DS and plays it often.

My son loves this game, he has over 20 games and this is his favorite so far.

I like Mario platformers, but I can't recommend this game for more than a rental or if your kid is really young. I beat this game really quickly and I have no desire to replay it since it's just a rehash of Super Mario Bros. 3 with a "collect the coins" theme. Play New Super Mario Bros. 1 on DS, Super Mario Bros. 3, or almost any other Mario platformer for a better experience.
