Honestly, Nintendo has really overpriced this game but what's new? You won't get much in the way of surprise and delight with this game when it comes to big changes in mechanics or story. But I think it's a decent addition to your collection if you catch it at a good price. I got this one on sale for $30 and in my opinion, that is what it's MSRP should have always been. It's your typical side-scrolling Mario game that harkens back to the level design and nostalgia of the original classics. On the upside, it has multiplayer and allows for you to choose different characters whose abilities differ slightly, providing a bit of variety. This game is great if you have kids or have friends over for casual gameplay and just want to have fun. I'd never recommend it at full price but if you get this on sale its a worthy purchase.

This is a great game. Levels at more challenging than the last Super Mario Bros. While I wish I was able to bubble as desired like the last version for Wii, I do appreciate how it forces me to take more risks. Platforming is definitely not my strong suit, but I truly enjoy the game. The levels are challenging enough that it makes me not play through the whole thing at once.

I order this game for Christmas and wasn't sure if it would arrive on time. Ordering was fast and easy. I was amazed with the fast delivery. The game arrived in a few days in excellent conditions. My kids loved this game.

If you hadn't played New Super Mario Bros U + New Super Luigi U (we'll call it NSMBU+NSLU) when it launched on the Wii U then this is a great time to experience the game in full 1080p. Like most other Wii U to Switch ports this game now runs at 1080p on TV and 720p handheld. On Wii U it ran at 720p on TV and 480p in handheld. The other new additions have been the replacement of blue Toad with options for Toadette (aka Peachette with the super crown) and Nabbit who doesn't take damage from enemies. If you played through on Wii U it was a fun game but now with Nabbit a younger player can have fun playing with a group of more experienced players. Also Peachette can fall it pits and bounce back up once per fall. So the new player options are great. Not to mention the New Super Luigi U DLC being included that was $20 more than the base $60 when it released after the original game. If you've played through the game once there isn't really any new content aside from the two new player choices. Old modes return including challenges where you can play as a Mii character. So I can recommend NSMBU+NSLU Deluxe but your level of enjoyment can vary. On the one hand not many experienced this game on Wii U so it's great to have a true Mario side scrolling adventure on Switch.

Fun, the game is very competitive. Play daily to ensure the overall performance.

Awesome game. It takes me back to the old Super Nintendo. I must admit the game has some very challenging levels and I have got a bit angry at times but I’m glad it’s not too easy. I would highly recommend buying this game it will keep you entertained for hours.

A very cool mixture of Mario games to enjoy as an adult or sitting on the couch with your little one(s). Probably the best way to introduce your your kids or grandkids to the games we had when we were young w/o the 8-bit boredom. You definitely wont be exchanging this game for a long time.

I would say expect a lot of new stuff in this game if I could, but I can’t. What I like about this game is that you have the same great experience in a more powerful portable way. That’s a big step. If you enjoy the side scrolling Mario experience with some extra features built in, then this is a no brainer.

I purchased this particular game of Mario because it was like a nostalgic moment. I’ve always played Mario growing up as a kid, so I wanted to find the closest version of the three different kinds of super Marios. I love the upgraded colors of this version of the game. But my favorite part is is just like original Mario with a twist. I’m sad to almost be finished with the game, but I’ve enjoyed every moment of it.

We love this game! My small kids can play it and we have had so much fun with it. When you beat it you can go back and make up other fun games.

It's reminiscent of the Wii Mario Bros game, which is nice. I can play with friends like I used to now.

This was my favorite Mario game on the Wii U and was excited to learn that mar10 Best buy would have a sale on digital copies for the Switch. This rarely happens and grabbed it up as quickly as the sale went live. One of the better Mario games, other than the price of admission.

If this is going to be your first game I sould recommend you get something else as this game is repetitive and lacks a big plot. Not saying is bad but if it's the only game you'll have for some time you might want something with more storyline. Everything arrived well at my door, the game is the classic Mario of always which get a little boring after some time but it's a must have for playing with friends.

I have only played a few levels, but so far its the same ol' Mario we love with some added upgrades.

Awesome addition to the Mario family of games! A mix of the old world feel with a whole lot of new fun and ideas!

If you played it on the Wii U, you know this game is pretty awesome and good, got it on the switch to take with me on the go, it’s the same game with some extra features, but in all honestly the fact that I can take it anywhere sold me on it, really have enjoyed it!

The game is a better version of the first super Mario Brothers which offers the same view and layout but with a more upgraded in advance playing feel.
