This icemaker was soo noisy. Returned it after a couple days

After a lengthy delay in delivery, I followed all instructions in manual, eagerly anticipating my first glass of crunchy ice, this item doesn't work, and has never worked. It is my fault for waiting so long to try and report it, however as I did pay for the added warranty.

This worked great initially, we loved it. Frustrating that this is only built to last one year. It is a great appliance if you are willing to replace it yearly.

A very sturdy machine with a huge capacity. Makes ice quickly. Vents are arranged so that you can put one side flush with a wall, which is a nice change from other machines that require the entire back end totally unobstructed. Has a nice internal layout that makes it easy to clean. My one issue with the machine, however, is the side-mounted drain hole. This means the entire machine has to be tipped over in order to drain properly, which is both dangerous (especially when mounted on a higher counter) and time-consuming, as it upsets the coolant, requiring it to sit, unused, for several hours until everything has settled, again. Other models I've used in the past have had their drains mounted at the bottom of the machine, which would have been nice for something that weighs more than a child. Ah well.

It works great and it is not very loud. You can hardly hear the compressor running. It also looks good on the counter.

I bought this in April, and it just quit working. I am hoping I can get some help! Must still be on warranty!

It just makes the worst ice and now it just quit working and it's not even a year old For 200.00

I got this on sale because I needed an ice maker and thought why not try it out. It’s loud, has a small capacity and makes dumb looking ice

Replaced this 3 times. Best buy warranty saved the day.

Quit working after 3 months. I was very disappointed in this product.

slowest ice maker ever, after 1 hour not even one bucket of ice. I tried 3x, but turning it off for 30 minutes then retrying. I even tried the small ice option so it would freeze quicker. It melts just as quick so the 8 cubes that drop out 8 you have to freeze right away or they will melt. in 1 hour 24 ice cubes. I have no idea how this is suppose to make 28lbs of ice. Bought 7/9, got delivered 7/14, tried 7/17, going back to store 7/18

Received it today. Followed directions and it doesn’t work. The red “add water” light comes on even though it’s full. No compressor sounds or fan motion.

Wonderful Ice Maker. We have had it running non stop since March 2020. Our freezer makes only a traditional amount of ice for my family. Right now there are 4 adults but we had up to 6 adults for lengthy periods of time last year living with us. I am very impressed with how fast it makes ice. It is larger than I thought but I cleared off what was going to be a temporary space in the coolest part of the kitchen. Well, we know how that went down in 2020. Every Thursday, I just bag up the ice and let all the water run through, then do my cleaning. We use bottle water to make the ice which helps to insure having any deposits are a minimum. If the sun is shining, I prop open the clean ice maker lid and out it goes to catch some germ killing rays. My husband did not originally want it but I saw it as a basic necessity like toilet paper when this whole pandemic started. Now, our control panel is out on our refrigerator and zero ice. We are waiting for the magic chips to come from China to fix it, don't worry the fridge is still working. It will be at least a month or longer before we get it repaired meanwhile this little baby will keep us in ice. Yesterday, my husband said this little machine was the best thing we bought all year. I think so too.

Great for a backup ice maker. I bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator with their new design ice maker located in the door. My old Whirlpool produced enough ice that we never ran out, even after using it to fill a small cooler for drinks. Turns out the new ice maker is smaller than the old models, with much reduced ice output; completely inadequate even for our two person household. I bought this NewAir to make up for the shortcomings of the Whirlpool. I found that I need to run the NewAir about once a week to fill up the in-door container of the Whirlpool, to meet our modest ice usage. I use the large cube setting which produces cubes about every eleven minutes. It produces enough ice to fill the in-door ice bucket in just a few hours. I wasn't sure I wanted the red, but the color has grown on me. The NewAir is compact, and it looks nice, sitting on the counter right next to our refrigerator. I just plug it in once a week to replenish our ice, to be dispensed through the refrigerator door, then unplug and dump any remaining water in our kitchen sink. Works great. I just have to break up the ice after a few minutes, because it's a bit wet when I dump it into the refrigerator ice bin. I read reviews on many different portable ice makers and most of them seemed to have rather high failure rates. The NewAir seemed to have pretty good reliability, so that was a major factor in choosing it. I've had mine over a month, and so far it works fine.

Ever had a party on a hot day with not enough ice? I have, that's why I got this NewAir portable ice maker. Now my parties are poppin with ice! I like this machine's durability and it's ability to pop out tons of ice in a very short amount of time. Cheers!

Very nice ice maker. Would purchase it again. Makes plenty pf ice for our use on the patio.
