Even with cold water not a very good buy for the price

Worked great for a month or so. Then we started having issues, where the cooling option constantly turns off. Of course we can no longer return it, so don’t waste your money in this, please do your research before purchasing this.

This is just a fan. It does not cool off my sons room. Having to replace colling packs and add water every few hours is a pain in the you know what. Definitely not worth the price.

It died after 3 years of light use. For the money I paid for it that is completely unacceptable.

Does not blow air sufficient to keep anyone cool that is more than 3 feet away.

I don't normally write reviews, even though I check them frequently when buying online. Since this product had not been rated though, I felt it was necessary to write an excellent review for this product, because the company has earned that through creating a quality product. I was searching online for a portable a/c, but was leery about purchasing one, because of the big extensions that stick out the window. I felt like it was going to be difficult to deal with and would probably defeat the purpose of me trying to keep the cold air in my room. So I was searching for something that would just plug in. This is an awesome alternative. It cools my space to the same degree an air conditioner would, without all that additional nonsense hanging out of the window. It runs off water and ice packs. As long as you take care of it, it works great! Thank you, Luma. Great, great product!

During the pandemic our main air conditioner failed. Didn't want a serviceman coming to my home, so I looked into portable evaporative coolers and found this NewAir. It's lightweight, stylish, and rolls on casters for convenient portability. Easy to set up and use. However, we cannot tell the difference between fan and cool mode. It's like a warm wind blowing. So my impression is that this expensive "fan" is better than not having anything at all, but it's not working out so well here. Would probably achieve optimal results inland (places like Mojave, Bombay Beach or the I.E.).

- the unit is not effective. -I bought this after reading reviews and it doesnt stand to description - i missed return window at best buy eles i would have returned this. I did contacted Luma soft regarding issues with the product, they did sent me replacement after verifying my purchase. But the second unit that I got - water was not even running to spigot. Its worst ever product.. PLEASE DONT BUY it!
