This makes for a great travel dock for the Switch 2. The smaller profile makes this a great dock to take on trips. It can switch between stand mode and TV mode effortlessly. True to the box, it can do 4k for the switch 2. However, there is a caveat. The dock does support 4k. It also supports HDR. But it cannot do both 4K and HDR at the same time. This was confirmed by the manufacturer. Supposedly, it can do 1440p and HDR, but I can't confirm that since I don't have a native 1440p display nor do I have a display that supports it. It's for this reason that I can't recommend this as a replacement for the standard dock if you have a 4k display. Also, I wouldn't worry too much about the dock bricking your switch 2. USB-C compliance has come a long way since the switch days. I don't anticipate any bricking for Switch 2 systems. As for the functionality of TV mode, that depends on how long Nintendo will allow it functionality on third-party docks. It works for now, but that can change in a future update. One other thing, this dock kit does not come with an HDMI cable. You will need to supply your own. So be prepared for that. Overall, I'd say this was a good purchase for me. While this isn't a great replacement dock for me, it's an excellent dock for trips. Note: despite it saying it's compatible for Switch 1 systems, I would not recommend it. While Switch 2 systems may be safe from bricking on third-party docks, Switch 1 systems are a different story.

I was really impressed when I picked up the NEXT 4K TV Dock Kit for my Switch 2. It feels sleek, more compact, and even more versatile. What stood out right away is that it fully supports 4K output, which makes a huge difference if you’re playing on a newer TV. The picture looks sharp and vibrant, and it really takes the gaming experience up a notch. The dock is also very portable, it is lightweight Another great feature is the multiple connectivity options. Setting up is super easy—you just slide the Switch in and it recognizes it instantly. The best part is that it works across all models! Overall, this dock delivers excellent performance and great portability!

I’ve had this dock for almost 2 weeks and it’s everything as advertised. The extra ports are especially handy with all the accessories in my family. Its compatibility with multiple platforms is also great in case I want to “switch” out my older Switch with the new one. Overall, this makes gameplay much easier and therefore fun. Definitely recommend.

Right away it's $50 less than the official dock and has more uses. Use as a stand for on the go, on the TV, and it's compatible with the original Switch as well as the Switch 2. It's also much smaller and easier to pack for travel or bringing to your friends house.

I was super happy to see that Best Buy is finally carrying an additional TV dock for Switch 2! I haven’t seen any other full powered TV docks on the market, and given that I travel a lot I really needed an extra TV dock for my switch 2. This TV dock is very compact compared to Nintendo‘s dock that comes with the system. I would say it’s about 1/4 of the size of the Nintendo version, maybe less, so it’s super easy to travel with. It includes two USB ports on the back, which is also great. The biggest value is that it comes with a full powered high wattage AC adapter that is a $40 value by itself! This TV dock works perfect already, you just set your Switch 2 in the dock and it instantly works. You can also press a button on the back of the dock which allows you to charge the Switch and play while it is docked on the Switch screen rather than on the TV. You can’t do that with the original Nintendo TV dock. Another huge bonus is that this dock works with the older Switch as well as the new Switch 2. I’m not sure how they figured that out, but it is a huge value in my opinion. I highly recommend this Switch 2 TV dock, you can’t go wrong.

Pretty good switch 2 dock considering the OEM one is so expensive. I saw a review that it doesn’t support 4K. It actually does support 4K but not with HDR on. So you have to decide if you want 1080p HDR or 4K. It does tell you that but in small writing on a piece of paper in the box.

Good 3rd party dock I bought for a coworker. Seems to work well and compatible with the switch's specific upscaling requirement

Works on 120 hz and hdr. Using the b5 oled btw and on a 180 hz monitor. Only thing is use a HDMI 2.1 Cable you will not get full bandwidth without it

Excellent, easy to use. As advertised. I bought this product as a second dock for my grandson when he comes over to my house.

The improvements are obvious! The screen is so much better in every way, size and clarity! And the magnetic joycons are a necessity you didn’t know you needed until you have them!

Really great dock, simple setup with great 4k output. Works with switch 2 and switch OLED. Very open airflow with no overheating issues.

Game Lags quiet bit and depends on your TV, it drastically lags... You get what you pay for sure.. Cheaper than actually Dock but its better just get the real one.

It chargers and fits switch 2 perfect. But I recently got legends Z-A and the game on this dock was running like 10 fps. I switched to the original nintendo dock and the issue was gone. Would not recommend this product. Returning today.

I don’t recommend it. It doesn’t work Advertised. It does not display in 4K with HDR.
