awesome camera! lots of great features! small and looks great

Good quality, works great. Cant peak to the longevity of the product yet but it feels like it should hold up.

People be lying on the road, so you need to get a dash cam. Unless you be lying, then you have bigger issues than reading a review on bestbuy. The Interface is a touch slow and it’s a little complicated if you’re not tech savvy. So I recruited YouTube. However very good quality and stats if you’re in an accident.

Great dash cam with wonderful features, but DO NOT purchase this if you live in a state with hot summers! The dash cam worked beautifully until the temperature breached 90 degrees, and it would suddenly refuse to turn off, respond, record, or turn off (it was random).

Great picture and endless storage even with rolling footage

I bought this dash cam after reviewing several sites for customer reviews and I do not regret it. Bought just before a long trip and the camera worked outstanding. It is easy to use, good quality video, and mounting. If you are looking for a dash cam, highly recommend this one alongside with a quick Micro SD-Card, ideally 128GB.

Best way to stay safe I have run this camera for 80k miles and countless hours driving across the country with n every kind of weather . So simple to use with a good quality picture Downside is the app takes forever to load

I was happy with my Nextbase 522gw at first, and it worked well for the first year and a half. Now the screen has colored static on it, and the camera at times will not record. I discussed the issues with Nextbase customer support, which is rather slow to respond. They questioned my micro SD card, thinking it was bad. I replaced it, and the camera still malfunctions. Next they had me do a routine batter test, which proved that the battery was no longer holding a charge. This is considered a "consumable item", and was not covered under warranty anymore. They did provide a battery description for me to try to locate on my own, but they cannot provide a link to purchase nor do they sell the batteries in the USofA. As of now, I cannot find a replacement battery, anywhere. How ridiculous is it that this device needs a new "consumable item" such as a battery but you cannot purchase one anywhere? I have let Nextbase customer support know that I am not at all a happy customer. They couldn't care, they discontinued the email conversation. Going forward, I will always have at least one dashcam in each of my 3 vehicles. However, none will be Nextbase. I cannot support a business that cannot offer anything better in product/customer support.

This is the best car camera I’ve been used and the prices is right and specially the installation department is the greatest service in town i will keep telling my friend and family if they want to buy a car camera Best Buy is the only choice

The camera captures video well but ... - The camera shuts off when it gets warm out (even in Seattle spring) - Transfering video using the app is a royal pain. Takes forever when it does work but you are better off taking the sd card out and plugging into a computer

The idea that this unit has a battery is just to get more money out of shopper. This unit works great as a dash cam but if your buying it for the parking mode you should look else ware. If you are using the dash cam alone you may get 10 minutes out of the internal battery. The problem is when you turn off your car off and leave (shut the door) that triggers parking mode which eats up your first couple minutes of battery. Then there is the "auto-off" feature that rarely works so in reality your 10 mins of battery life can be eaten up just by shutting your door when you leave your vehicle (NextBase could fix this with some sort of countdown arming mode). Now, if your like me and want to cover the rear of your vehicle (you know, in case someone rear ends you in a parking lot), you only get 1-2 mins of battery life out of the unit (which won't cover the issue with shutting your door when you leave). When you ask NextBase about it they say if you want to use both cameras you need to run off the vehicle battery and use their hardware kit. Well what is the point of buying a camera with an internal battery that can't support it's own accessories? Running the HW kit is supposed to protect your battery from draining too low but as other users have reported it could leave you stranded in the right conditions. Save your money on this unit, the battery is worthless.

Video quality and field of view are good. Does not come with microSD card.

If anything, this dashcam has too many features! Easy to set up and easy to use.

I had high hopes for this dashcam, but it falls a bit short. Camera is very well made and has a lot of features inside such as Alexa, SD memory slot and the ability to connect a cabin camera to the dashcam. The camera also has a parking mode that will immediately start recording when your car is even slightly touched. The major issue of this cam is that the suction cup is made very cheaply and will give out. This will cause the camera to be utterly useless and it is virtually impossible to buy an aftermarket cup or get Nextbase on the phone for a replacement part. The fact that such a vital piece will give out within a year is an absolute deal breaker for me. Also, this dashcam is one of the most expensive on the market. Not worth the price for the value that you receive.
