This camera has all the features you’d want if you’re getting your first camera. However, I bought mine and with it I bought an SD card, I had issues where it randomly stops recording and tells me to format my SD, later I bought a new and better SD card and it still does it. Unfortunately it has on several occasions not recorded when I needed it to be recording. You have to check it all the time to see if it’s recording. My recommendation is to not buy.

The dash cam works great and as expected. Video is clear and has a great FOV. The app is decent but WiFi connectivity is a plus. My only complaint is sometimes the cam will not show the view of the camera.

This works as advertised... the installation went smoothly although I would have liked the camera to be mounted a little lower so I could see what it's doing...apparently there is some state law that specifies where it can be located....

This camera is weird . It glitches It freezes , ( it don’t matter the temperature ) It doesn’t work with the app. The reason I still use it is because , I can’t afford to buy another one , and have the mechanic do all the labor . It still records , but with those everyday flaws .

Beside not having a Micro SD card in the box, this Alexa enabled Dashcam is near perfect. contents of the box: Dashcam 2 different mounting mounts(suction, and 3M sticky mount) 12- 24 V power cable that is long enough to fit any car size USB cable for initial charge at home, and to download videos to your pc Plastic Power cable fitting tool (this was genius) A quick user guide. setup first you need to charge the camera for 2 hours then you need to find a suitable position in your car and run the wire and hide it using the fitting tool and connect the dashcam. Remember that you have to separately purchase a micro SD card as the camera wont work or install updates without it. download the NextBase dashcam app to your phone (IOS, or Android) Install latest firmware, then install and setup the device on Alexa app and you are ready. the dashcam itself has a high resolution touch screen which allows you to access different features from setting up date and time to recording resolution and length, to other features like parking sensor (if you have a rear cam connected), to accident detection and reporting. the lens of the dashcam has a polarizing feature that allows you to control the glare from the windshield and reduce it. the dashcam is very responsive and the quality of the recording is really good. up to 1080 @ 30 fps. Using Alexa was also easy and responsive as usual. I have a Garmin Plus in my other car that has Alexa as well and I couldn't tell any difference in response. you can setup the dashcam to auto off to avoid draining the car battery, you can also easily activate parking mode so the dashcam would record only when it detects movement close to the car. in case of an accident or for any reason you like there is a big button on the dashcam that you can click to save the last video taken and easily download to your phone afterwards. there is also a feature where the dashcam would send an SOS with coordinates when it senses an accident and NO RESPONSE from the driver or the people in the car. Like other dashcams, this on can time stamp a lot of things on the footage recorded like date and time, speed, and GPS coordinates. summary: I loved this dashcam and only took out a star because it didnt include a Micro SD card, and because on the box itself it shows a Micro SD card with the NextBase brand on it.

Do not buy this dashcam. Mine is dead (flat battery kills it even when supplied with vehicle power) The manufacturer will not fix units out of warranty, sell a replacement battery for install, or refer buyers to a seller of comparable batteries. This unit was installed with always on power in my vehicle. The battery was flat dead in just over a year (warranty 1 yr). It is not replaceable without soldering and the Lithium-Polymer 3.7V / 320mAh has 3 leads and is very difficult to source. I have been working with there tech support for two weeks and they are now able to tell me they are sorry but it is out of warranty and will not help me find a seller for the replacement battery. According to the internet these battery failures are not uncommon. I got the camera 2 mounts rear camera with long cable. All useless as the camera is DEAD. Huge waste of money. DO NOT BUY

Video quality is good. I like the 60fps at 1080p setting more than 30fos at 4K. The only negative is that the unit restarts a few times if you drive long distance. I believe it heats up and has to power cycle. Kinda annoying.

User-friendly and great quality overall Very reliable

Great camera, only problem is that it interferes with the electronic of my new truck, for example voice command is disable and went I want to bluetooth connect the camera it drops the bluetooth connection of my truck, therefore I can not use the phone setting to make phone calls.

This camera works great. I installed myself using the optional hardwire kit. I wired to a circuit that is continually on so that the camera would be recording when parked. The suburban battery has drained (become dead), and a battery booster was required to get it started. Next week an automotive repair shop will be diagnosing this issue to determine if it is the camera that is causing a dead battery.

Camera is great, were still playing around with, trying to figure out app. Micro sd card we purchased, doesn't fit, will have to return to BestBuy and exchange for correct one to use!

Purchased for my brother...if you add the backup cam to this the battery doesnt support both for long...sad the manufacturer made it this way. He had to hard wire it into the car to support front and back cams

So many issues with this camera. The app is horrible to start with. We could not get connected to the app most of the time. We bought the hard wire kit because Parking Mode was something we had to have since we have a new soft top Bronco. The first stereo shop we paid to install it did a great job but Parking Mode never worked so we took it to another shop to try our luck there. That shop was much more experienced and knew everything I was talking about in which fuse locations to use for ignition and constant power but still no luck. The Rear camera worked for a few days but would mostly show static all the time. We also had to carry a small nail in the vehicle to reset the camera once a day because it wouldn't turn on sometimes. About a week into it the camera would suddenly never turn off once we turned off the vehicle. I ended up unplugging everything so it wouldn't drain the battery and bought an Alpine Dash Cam instead. So I spent $400 to get this installed and then another $180 to get the new dash cam installed.

Battery does not charge fully after the first charge. Video quality is ok thank god i bought an extended warranty! Returning asap.

Bought this dash camera as I’ll be doing more traveling. So far, it has been easy to use. The app needed to use it isn’t the greatest, but it gets the job done- great value

Nice product, after looking at reviews for some time - purchased it. So far after a month it has worked perfectly, the one drawback is that pretty much all dashcams don’t come with a card, you have to buy that separately

Great picture quality. Day or night. Easy to install (lots of YouTube guidance.) Works as promised.

Use the camera in my security patrol units and works great and easy to use. Camera does not overheat in the day time.
