This is the second Nextbase 522GW Dash Cams that I have purchased. I am very pleased with the manner in which they operate and would suggest that all drivers consider a device such as this for their vehicles. With the increased congestion and chaos on today's roadways, some measure of video evidence can save potentially many dollars in insurance costs or fines.

Keeps saying the sd card needs to format over and over even after formatting it

Bought this because it said it did all the things I wanted. But, it continually disconnects from my phone and puts a red SOS screen up that you have to clear. Also, it randomly shuts itself off and still-s recording. Once when I needed a recorded segment it had never recorded for the whole way to work for no apparent reason. It had recordings before and after, it not that 20 minutes

I love it because with the rear camera it catches people who hit me from behind. Great camera

Just charge the dashcam with the included USB cable for few hours and insert a memory card(microSD), mount it to the dash or on the windshield using the included mount of choice. It comes with a sturdy mount that can be attached using a 3M adhesive or a suction plate. We mounted ours using the click and go pro mount that uses the magnets to lock it in place and is very for easily removal when required. Design of the camera is not very attractive with the protruded lens compared to competitors but like the new click & go pro mounting solution a lot for easy install and removal. Dashcam weighs 125g and has a 3-inch touchscreen. It has got an option to add plug and play cabin camera or rear camera modules. One of the great features that this dashcam distinct from competitors is the unique SOS emergency mode that sends the location of vehicle in the event of an collision and driver is unresponsive to first responders. This is a subscription service but includes a free trial. It does has a parking mode that records video if it detects any motion near the vehicle. Video Quality: Image quality is very impressive. Footage can be recorded in either 1440p at 30fps or 1080p at 60 fps. We selected 1080p for more frames per second that gives more clarity in the event of an accident. Video image quality on both settings is good with the audio of the cabin and has the option to turn the audio off in the settings if you don’t want that to be recorded. Included Alexa on the dashcam is good to make calls, play music, control smart home when needed without much distraction and focused on the road during driving. Companion mobile app is intuitive and easily connects to the smartphone with no issues. Overall, the video quality, easy click mounts and the features like parking mode recording, Alexa integration makes this dashcam to recommend to anyone who is on the market for dashcam. If you need 4K resolution video or HD at 120fps for slow motion recording and Bluetooth/ WIFI 5 then would recommend the next model 622GW.

Very good dash cam. The picture quality is awesome.

So far it seems to be a very good dash cam, but I'll need more time to use it. Was just installed a few days ago, because they canceled my first install date because of Covid and labor shortage. What I don't like about it is the directions on how to use the dash cam is about none, so I have to go look it up on YouTube.

Easy set up. Works as advertised. Added plus with Amazon's Alexa connectivity.

Got it installed and running in just a few minutes. Wish the screen was a little bigger but still works f ine.

Thus camera is so easy to use. I would suggest buying a large memory card for it.

Absolutely horrible. 16 months of glitching. I can no longer wifi connect to this camera to get files. I have to manually update it via a computer. Freezes randomly, the app glitches and loses connection. The first 3 months were wonderful, then it started going downhill. All you get from support is *buy our expensive sd card and it will work find*. Done it, didnt change anything in how it functions. Paperweight at best at this point. Reliability has been lost, dont trust it to function correctly when i truly need it to.
