The pictures are good and the fact that it can be controlled from my cellphone makes it even better

Very impressed with this dash cam. Easy to use and takes great quality video. Comes with a lot of features.

I bought this after returning a Garmin 56 that I had issues with. While this is one of the most expensive dash-cams on the market, it has all the bells and whistles and is worth the premium price. The mount is excellent and picture quality is top-notch. I like the ease of adding a rear-facing cam as well. I was also pleased that getting Best Buy to refund me $50 when the camera went on sale a week after I bought it was painless!

I installed this in my new car. Not 2 days later, someone crossed lanes and ran into my car while I was stopped. I was able to upload a video to the insurance company to clearly show the fault was on the other driver (video showed speed and location) and made the claim process way easier. Would highly recommend!

Easy set up and great picture quality. Have to get quality SD CARD though.

The camera is great! Quality is really good, and the microphone is amazing as well. Unfortunately, mine stopped working after 2 years of constant use. Unsure if due to heat or overuse.

Not a bad dash cam for the money. The features are nice and cool to save vids to my phone. The video is real clear and touch screen is great. I had the 222 model before and this upgrade was worth it. I got the rear cam with it and it is plug and play pretty much...but get a 128gig micro sd, you will need it.

Easy to use and setup. Great UI and doesn't overreact to general driving forces (some dashcams can overreact to hard stops or turns). Bought as a gift for my father, and it works great for him. There are cheaper dash cams. I use a cheaper one personally but you lose features and quality. This dashcam is great and provides great use to my father. Will be buying one for myself very soon.

Purchased for a future trip and loved the features this had. Already taken it out and downloaded the video's to laptop from driving home. Very easy to download, very easy to work through settings and happy with this purchase. Thinking of adding a rear view camera and debating which kind to get.

Compared to the 222w this camera is inferior in recording footage. This 522gw has 3min max recording segments with gaps between the next recording. Missing footage is a problem. The battery overheats and has no life after initial charge. Opted for the inline charger cable which improved camera functions. Without the cable the gps speed function would offtrack actual speed. You can only use Nextbase SD card with a small amount of storage space. Any other SD card or larger would cause the camera to malfuction. Nice features don't make up for what the camera is for.....footage. Stick with 222w instead.

Great quality and great features but mobile app is very clunky and slow to transfer

Perfect for what I needed. This camera runs smoothly and easily and I don't even notice that is there. It is small and not bulky but takes high def quality video. It is easy to install and use and the software is easy to use as well. You won't be disappointed.

Good audio and video both daytime but especially well at night. Was bulky looking when placed on dash. Did find the app that was necessary to view and transfer videos didn’t work well and crashed often. Or would just get stuck buffering forever. When it did work it worked slowly, both on 5G and WiFi. Ended up returning it after two weeks.

The design of Nextbase dashcam are nice but the product is unreliable. Each week I have to reestablish connection between the phone and the dashcam, usually taking 15-30 minutes. Additionally I get other random error messages pictured with this review. I have literally had a dozen support tickets with Nextbase to correct these problems with no improvement. I would recommend that consumers look for a dashcam from other manufacturers that are more reliable.

The good: excellent resolution. Nothing else. The bad: connectivity. The Bluetooth is ok. But the wi-fi connection is terrible. It takes a long time to connect, by the time it connects the camera goes off ( idling time). Lots of locked videos that fill up the ads card. Have to delete them one at the time or take the card to a computer. Very frustrating. I do not recommend this camera. My Garmin is half the price and works flawlessly. Ah, and half the size as well.

It's a good camera. The Alexa part doesn't work that great. I was hoping it'd be easy to talk to it to save a video, much like the Garmin, but not so much. If you don't want or need that, it has good quality video.

It does work great, but you do have to watch what SD cards you put into the device. The quality of the video is great. The fact that it has the in cab camera and backup camera as options to add to the device it would have been nice to be able to use both not just one or the other.
