Awesome camera but the app needs work

SD cards only have limited lifespans. In our manuals we recommend formatting every 2-3 weeks to prolong the life of the card. Without this regular formatting, or if the card is non-compatible or damaged, the card could corrupt which would cause a failure of data writing.
Symptoms of SD card failure are: an audible 'alarm' tone, non-functional buttons, freezing, corrupted files on playback, image missing from files, lack of file recording etc.
A lack of initial recording is usually the use of a non-compatible SD card, or an SD card that's not being formatted.
Please ensure you're using a compatible SD card that meets the minimum requirement. We recommend a Nextbase SD card and formatting every two weeks.

It captures crazy

There are a lot of crazy drivers where we live. It’s worth catching all the crazy on video. It also withstands the insane temperatures in the windshield of our cars without issue. Wish it came with the suction mount like it used too.

I also thought it was neat that it had an SOS function built in. While the camera itself appears to work as advertised, that's about it. My biggest disappointment so far is the Alexa integration. Do an internet search and you'll find a ton of people complaining that they can't get Alexa to find the cam. Apparently, most support suggestions are to uninstall all the software and install again. I didn't have to do that with my (name pretty much any device). This should just work dag nabbit. I then discovered that the SOS functionality only works for a year before you then have to pay for it. Show me on the Best Buy ad where it states that. I just went back and looked and it states "Emergency SOS Features an emergency response to alert the emergency services to your location in the event of an accident." No mention of a charge. So, I could have gotten a much cheaper cam since Alexa doesn't seem to work. I'll give it as long as Best Buy allows before returning it if I can't get this thing working 100%

WORKS GREAT FOR A CLASS A RV WINDSHIELD

Needed one that would fit in the middle bottom of windshield. this one did the trick. The salesman who was helping me went over all of the items it offered and helped me determine which one would work for a motorhome windshield. It has been easy to use and was easy to install. would recommend this.

I paid to have it hard wired so it works off the ignition - great choice & well worth it as they integrated the rear camera option at the same time. My only gripe (hence 4 stars) is that live view only works if you turn off data on your cell phone. It worked before the firmware update downloaded - beware!

Excellent camera, but app hard to connect to

It will connect after a lot of turning on and off bluetooth. I think it would be great if you could connect this camera to your homes WiFi and link up to it through your network. Would that stop me from buying another, NO WAY ! The camera and rear camera plugged into this work fantastic when it comes to recording video.

Although the setup instructions and information that came with the dash cam was pretty sparse, it was sufficient and their website contains more info. Use of the dash cam and downloading the videos to your computer is fairly easy also. My next to-do is to download the app and see what that will do for me.
