    This product a long with the Nextbase 4K camera is absolutely awful. This is the second time I have purchased this camera and it failed to connect to T-Mobile here in Anchorage Alaska to complete the setup process. I even drove around half of Anchorage trying to get a signal to connect. A complete waste of time. The 622GW is light years a head on this product.

    It definitely a good camera. Totally understand that it’s new to the market. But with firm where updates I am sure it will be great. I’ve had the same issues as some of the other reviewers but I’ve noticed with the firmware upgrade it has gotten much better.

    Rear camera doesn’t have IR so is useless at night, for $200 you think it would at least come with that. Nighttime is when most car break-ins/thefts happen. Had someone kick my sunroof in and this didn’t capture anything because it only works in well-lit areas/broad daylight. Nextbase should come out with a different version with IR, like they offer in the front facing camera. Also, be wary the system will randomly delete video you watch so make sure to save it immediately and download to your phone after viewing. I had video that I was showing law enforcement that randomly disappeared after viewing. Nextbase is a good concept but lacks the robust security you’d expect from a near $1000 system. Also, when an event does happen it only triggers a single notification. Which is like getting a text at night, you just don’t notice it. They should have it trigger a loud alarm or a notification that keeps going until acknowledged.

      Regarding the video deletion issue, this is not how the camera should be working—no video should be deleted unless manually deleted. We recommend protecting any video you want to keep from being deleted from the SD card. However, as long as the camera has had time to upload the footage to the cloud, it should be available in the library section. Please make sure the SD card you're using is compatible and that the firmware is updated. If the issue persists, please contact our support team at [email protected].

    Feels very beta. It wasn’t recognized by the main unit. Nextbase customer service sent the firmware but there’s no way to push it and the way to “update” is ridiculously useless. Oh well? Maybe I’ll try again when it’s not “in beta” (which it isn’t but it feels like)

    The front camera is fine and good, the rear camera is not working and the geek squad didn’t put the right fuse in my cameras from the jump I’m having to go back and forth with Best Buy i plan on going back to rivergate Best Buy for them to put a new fuse in for the rear, I paid a lot of money for the cameras and for the geek squad service installation, would I recommend it yes and no

    Ok. After 24 hrs of headache and pain, it works WONDERFULLY now. I would recommend as long as you have enough patience to go thru every little setting and tweak it.

    Could never get it to work correctly. Even in my garage with the Wifi router 10 ft away, it couldn't connect. Won't play back videos. Never again. Lots of work to get it installed. Left it in the car when I traded it in. Don't get it.

    Not impressed and doesnt do what I need it to do

    The only time this system seems to pick up video is when I get into the vehicle. It failed to record a parking incident when I really needed it to. The app is slow and spotty and I pay 9.99/mo for it. Not worth it in my opinion.

    Didn't work for me

    Setup was simple because all you have to do is stick it to the rear window and attach it to the main front camera. It doesn't work without the front camera. The main camera was glitchy and only worked for a couple of hours. The rear camera didn't worked at all. I called tech support a few times and the line was busy. The company is from outside the United States which is probably why I couldn't reach them by phone. I returned it.

    Do not buy this or the Nextbase IQ. This camera rarely ever connects to the main camera and I have already left a post regarding the waste of money from purchasing the Nextbase IQ 4K. I repeat. Do not waste your money.

    I would go lower but it wont let me. Twice now my system did not alert me to entry into my truck and twice things were stolen. Good thing indidnt have anything important in my truck. Im going back to a brand the did let me know everything, Nexar. This 4glte system is crap!
