The Best hockey game I've ever played. Fun, addictive, and the most realistic hockey game ever.

If you liked NHL16, you'll like 17. The biggest improvements are in the EASHL mode. They've introduced tons of customization and unlockables for both your player and your stadium. I still wish the Ultimate Team would model itself more after MLB The Show rather than Madden and do away with contracts. To do well in it, you're either going to have to put in lots of time or spend real money. Can't speak much for the other game modes, but if you liked EASHL, you'll definitely want to get this game for the upgrades it offers.

NHL 17 was a tremendous victory for EA compared to the previous NHL 16. I really felt the gameplay was improved significantly and the computer is really difficult to play against versus last year. While it did have a few bugs upon release EA fixed a lot of the issues I was having with their latest updates. I must say it's one of the best if not the best hockey video game I've played to date.

NHL is an enjoyable game and this one didn't disappoint. Fun and enjoyable game.

The video and graphics are good. The controls are easy. It as not really that much different than other EA titles.

Full disclosure: I get this game every year, so take this review for what its worth. Hockey, IMO, is tailor made for video games. EA knocks it out of the park with this year. I am more of a Franchise player than online, and this does not disappoint. Game play is smooth as ever and the small touches they added in the crowds are the kind of thing I really like to see.

Everything about NHL17 feels better than NHL16 - the physics, the puck pickups, the puck handling by d-men at the blue line. Puck interceptions have been turned way up so passes are harder to get through and the cross crease cheese is more difficult to execute. With a good slider set (from OperationSports forums) this is easily the most realistic NHL game yet.

I never thought I would stop playing NBA 2K games, but after playing NHL 17 I haven't touched the NBA game again. I love the non stop action, the checking is amazing and it has the fun and excitement of NHL 94 for the Sega Genesis that I grew up playing. If you are into sports videogames then this is an absolute must buy for your collection!

This game is well made, the graphics and physics are awesome!

I like to play sports games, but some of the new ones are obviously geared to people who like a more complicated game. This is a pretty easy to play, enjoyable game, but there are other options if you want a more involved experience. I like the World Cup option. Only thing I don't like is that, in season mode, you can't make the periods shorter, so you can end up having to play over an hour for a game.

Bought this game for my son for a GREAT price! My son said it's an awesome game. He loves it. Recommends for any age!

Game play is great, customization is out of this world

Got this as a gift for my nephew. He has been playing and enjoys the fast paced action. Lots of good replay value.

This game has a lot of features which makes it worth the money and the play is fluid

These games come out every year and every year they tweak somethings. In NHL 17 it is a little harder to lay massive hits if you lay out for a hit and miss the CPU is going to most likely score. The offensive control and moves have become easier giving you a far greater chance of scoring on the opposing goalie.
