EA has lacked any significant improvements since NHL 15. This year introduced all new skating and hitting mechanics. It is the most realistic feeling NHL game I have ever played. With other game modes introduced like World of CHEL. NHL 19 still has the same commentary and looks much like NHL 18. With that being said the graphics still look great and is a very fun game to play!

The game play gets better and better. It’s super realistic. Make sure to turn down the sensitivity on penalties though because the refs call everything.

I am not really a gamer, and I was worried that I would not be able to enjoy this game out of the box. Well, that was not the case. With "training camp" move I was able to learn how to shoot, pass and stick handle without being destroyed by the computer opponent. I also like that you can setup a franchise mode and play a full season. Looking forward to lots of fun with this game.

Typical NHL game with some nice improvements. Of all the EA games, this continues to be my favorite. Even for people who haven't played previous iterations, the learning curve isn't that steep assuming you understand how the game of hockey is played. Though Arcade w/ semi-pro settings make it really easy for new players.

Honestly, disappointing that they didn't put to much work into updating all the modes. Graphics and presentation are solid as usual, but are becoming a bit stale. I would at least like to see different stadium angles and more green screen with commentators during the game. Even as stale as they've become its still top of the food chain when it comes to other EA sports games. But the hitting has greatly improved, which is my favorite part of the game.

Games have come a long way in my time. I always used to love the old nhl games and shattering the glass boards! Well this version feels and looks so real! My son and I love playing as the hometown Preds...he even showed me how to create ourselves on the game. Yep, we lead the league in scoring! Definitely worth it!

I’ve been a loyal EA-NHL player since NHL94. Although there have been years of slight changes that weren’t necessarily worth the game price, this year didn’t let down. The enhanced “threes” mode and its Pro-Am made it more interesting offline. I’m hoping they continue to improve in the years to come!

Usually buy the last year model of what ever sports game out there. Had not played NHL since 2012 but I was nice to have the controls be the same and the new game mode make it worth it. Especially the 3v3 mode that can be play in 10 mintues.

The gameplay is just so crisp and sharp on NHL 19. Hockey games are among my favorite video games (not just sports) and NHL 19 is once again great in that area. EASHL and Be a Pro are standout game modes where you can really sink a lot of time into and is pretty addictive.
