I recommend this game for Hockey lovers. Good graphics. When playing the game, it feels like your at a hockey game.

I only play sport video games, and only the ones that allow franchise mode, contracts, etc. This game is great with the options for running a franchise. I almost like that part of it more than playing the actual game (which is very fun). Creating players is highly detailed (create them before you start your franchise or they won't be available), and creating an expansion team is so detailed all the way down to what color your mascot's teeth are (you don't have to do that but you can). Controlling contracts and waivers is something I didn't fully understand until I played this. So I even learned something!

The announcing finally feels somewhat realistic as it is way more play-by-play than any previous version. The gameplay is as good as last year's offering, but with a little refinement. Not as many stupid penalties. I've been playing EA's NHL since the early 90's on Sega Genesis so, I've really seen the evolution of this game through the years. Still a few improvements to be made but EA finally seems to be giving this franchise half the attention it does with Madden, or even FIFA for that matter. Hockey lends itself to gaming more than any other sport does, so it's fitting that it get better treatment than in years past.

Nhl is ok very realistic and graphic design is good like that fame good deal for the price and quality of work is excellent for all ages.

Another successful launch and a must own in this long franchise history. Looks and sounds great. Rosters are thorough. New features: yes, options: yes, price: same. If you’re a Leafs fan you’ll love the cover; I’m not and they haven’t won since forever (1967), so the game isn’t perfect

If your are hockey fan this game has everything you can ask great graphics great game play and plenty of features and most importantly its fun to play

My son and I are the least likely hockey players but decided to try this game out on a whim (and an easy bonding opportunity) and were pleasantly surprised. The control settings are relatively simple and the action is great. Reccomend.

I'm not very well versed on hockey games (or hockey in general for that matter....it's the major sport that I watch the least), but I usually have a lot of fun playing them. That being said.....this is a really fun game! I had a coupon laying around and nothing to use it on before it expired, so I ended up getting this game with it for a little under $5 out of pocket....WELL worth the price for me! I'm sure the game has a bunch of little bugs and issues that will probably drive hockey purists & hardcore hockey gamers a little insane, but nothing truly offensive stands out to me (outside of the microtransaction-heavy Ultimate Team mode, but the same could be said for any major sports release these days). It's a fast, fun, great looking and solid playing hockey video game, in my humble opinion!

This is one of the best NHL games to be released so far. The graphics and controls are on top, also the challenges are awesome as well.

Excellent game! Very smooth gameplay. My 8 year old son picked this as his first sports game and it is easy for him to play as well.

Gameplay is great and the reduced price makes this a no brainer over 21' for those on a budget.

I have no previous hockey video game to compare this to since this is my 1st hockey game. Been playing sports games since the early 90s but stuck mostly to basketball and football. My first step into hockey gaming has been good so far. Realistic and the tutorials with video of real players helped a lot at first. I will likely be getting the new versions every year now.

NHL for pa4 is the best nhl they have made to date and the price was great couldn’t beat it anywhere else

If you are a hockey fan, this is as real as it gets. Love how EA steps up their game play each year.
