Best hockey game to be released so far, kids love it!

First upgrade since NHL 16. The jump in presentation and player modeling is immediately noticeable. I really enjoy the use of the ice to present stats and info. Enjoying PS5 Sense controller features. Looking forward to January roster update that will include women’s international teams.

I am a huge hockey fan and was hoping with this new engine for the game that it would make a differece. Graphic wise it does, game play it does NOT. The game is still pay to win unless you're willing to grind hours of your life away at it for a chance to have a good team. Not worth it. The AI still hasnt improved. The puck can go right by them without them picking it up or they will skate right over it. Passes still go to the wrong player that it is intended for. Last NHL game I'll buy that EA makes.

The game itself is pretty solid, the only issue is a few of the online modes are not populated since the new game came out. It seems to be a much bigger drop in available players online than usual though.

What can I say, it looks nice but still feels and plays like all other NHL games. Online play is always the same. Rush the zone and do the "high scoring chance" aka glitch shot to score.

Overall the game is fun. It seems EA cut and paste from NHL21. Even commentary is partially copied. Game does glitch a little with the crowd and sometimes during stoppage of play.

NHL 22 is great. The cover choice makes me wince, but the game is as solid as ever. PS5 graphics aren’t as much of an upgrade from NHL 21 as I had hoped but some of the rumble and sound features from the controllers are good.

Pretty much what you'd expect if you've played nhl through the years. Haven't played much yet but seems like they cleaned up the frequency of penalties without having to adjust sliders manually.

This is by far the best NHL game so far, mechanics are great and puck redirections are pretty spot on. Still can’t adjust rosters and trade for draft picks while not in season.

Fun to play, but if you’ve played any recent NHL games, you’ve played this. Graphics are great, and the X factor players effects are cool too

Great game! I have played the last several years of NHL and I highly recommend. Rosters are accurate and the game flow is great!

I’ve always loved playing NHL. I might need a little bit to get used to the mechanics but so far so good. I think it still gives me a nostalgic feel.
