Player animations and goalie movements are noticeably improved, making scoring (and defending) feel more earned. Game modes like Franchise and Be a Pro continue to be strong, offering solid depth for long-term play. I also appreciate the added realism in player development and team management decisions. Online play is competitive and fun, though occasional connection or matchmaking issues still pop up. The only downside is that some features feel more refined than reinvented, and there’s room to further innovate with modes and customization. Still, NHL 26 builds well on what works and delivers a polished, authentic hockey experience. Overall, NHL 26 is a must-play for hockey fans and a strong step forward for the franchise. Highly recommended if you love fast, physical, realistic sports games.

Good game. Fun. Could have made some bigger changes, but overall it's good.

Although it hasn’t changed much from last year’s game, NHL is always so fast paced and true to the real game. I’ll give it a 9 1/2.

I have been waiting years for the Be a Pro to be overhauled, and this was the year! I am an offline player so this update was big for me. I also like the stats driven attributes the players have which makes it much more realistic than just an arbitrary/subjective human interpertation of the players.

It is very realistic and it has many new options. My grandson must loves it...

Very similar to last year, only buy if on sale or haven’t bought NHL in a couple years. Gameplay is really good. Some changes to HUT and Be a Pro. Otherwise very much the same game
