This hair dryer is light, not as heavy as previously owned hair dryers. It has 3 heat settings, all of which change colors to indicate the level of heat. I have used it once, and left my hair a little frizzy, maybe because the heat is not as hot, but I'm keeping, and giving it another chance. I does seem to be better for my hair :)
