Very enjoyable Action-JRPG, and the mechanics and story are interesting. One of the more interesting elements of the game are the side quests. Completing those really enhances the overall feel of the game and fills in the story.

This game is amazing. Story is deep and game play is as well. Upgrades are plentiful, weapons, abilities, all upgradesble.

This is an open world game, of which I'm not typically a fan. The story is pretty compelling, with decent visuals and humor. The combat is somewhat monotonous, particularly compared to other hack and slash games, such as God of war and devil May cry.

Bought it cheap. The extra content are nice. Overall a very good game.

I expected to like this more given the glowing reviews. It's a solid J-action game with a bizarre and occasionally hilarious story. You're supposed to play through it multiple times, but I maxed out with just one.

A Japanese action RPG you will love. Controls are awesome. The music and atmosphere are amazing. This game will keep you playing for hours. And it comes with all the extra content. Buy it.

Incredible game, I love the difficultly options ranging from very easy if you care only about the story and characters to very hard which is probably one of the hardest games of all time, and everything in between those. The controls are also smooth with there be many different gameplay varieties like top down side scrolling and more. It's a very unique game and recommend it to almost any hack and slash fan.

Classic anime style game with a fantastic story and gameplay.

I didn't play the previous Nier or any of the Drakengard games and bought this solely because it was developed by Platinum. The game is bizarre in the best way regarding enemy designs and the combat is great fun like in any Platinum action game. With 5 main endings and 2 additional playable characters unlocked after completion, this should keep you busy for a while. I'd encourage at least one replay as the 9S character.

The combat was perfect. Story kept me interestee until the end. The DLC makes it even better.

Great game so far, defined recommend it! My only issue was the shipping process thats why im only giving it 4 stars. When it arrived the disc was not in place, thankfully it didn’t get scratched and it runs smoothly.

This game will offer lots of gameplay for a great price. Great value here, the game has a good story, excellent sound design, and square enix has hired expert action game designers to provide the gameplay. Incredible collaborative effort. Very satisfying graphics as well which does not try to do too much with the limitations of the system. DLC is offered for free with this version so it is a very good deal.

Lovely GOTY edition with all the bonus content. Gameplay is a lot of fun and story is intriguing.

This game is one big surprise. You start off with a flight sequence, you have to get past that and then you'll actually get to the real game. Without a doubt, each time it surprises you, from the gameplay, dialogue, storylines, quests, large expansive map to explore, multiple playthroughs in order to get the real ending. Greatly enjoyed it, got my money's worth.
