Easy to set up. Works okay. The playback is annoying skipping every other second like its trying to buffer. Chooses when it wants to record and sends a million notifications a day.

Great system and easy set up. Only issue is its a little over sensitive gives a lot of notifications. Great picture quality and video.

Video quality was good. Wiring to a power supply was a pain but doable. However, not being able to turn off the auto spotlights on the cameras was the deal breaker.

Great System. I expanded the memory and I am fully delighted. Easy to install. My neighbor bought a wired system the same time. We started installation of our camera system at the same time. I was done in less than an hour. It took my neighbor 2 days. The clarity on phone, iPad and TV is unbelievable.

So after having them installed for pver a month i thought i would rate them the following. 1 star for easy setup right out of the box, local storage, wired (my requirements personally), and being made in the USA. Where the company lost everything else is having no where in their discription saying anything about not being able to handle satellite internet. Not a huge deal breaker cause you can leave the system in offline mode and still functions to an extent... another annoying part is how none of the camera zone settings are ever remembered. But icing on the cale os when it notifies you ever minute that there movement (even if you face the camera on a wall) when nothing is happening. Work aound to that is just have it record 24/7 and i hope you like watching what happened all day to see if you missed anything. Dont even get me started on the app, it has so much potential i dont know where to start to make it better, caveat only saving alibi for the app is maybe when its fully connected it may have more functionality but some how i highly doubt it. I cant wait to see how it functions when the storage gets full, in theory it deletes old recordings but im starting to think that was a developers pipe dream. I could go on and on for days with headaches and how this system could have been really good, but i dont think its fair to the makers and maybe its just how i am using it and it how its setup. So if you dont have satellite internet and want a security system that will drive you crazy with false positive events and don't care then get this system. If not save yourself and go look elsewhere.

Do not buy! I am pretty techy savvy and I swear I really gave it my best try. First of all, be aware that you need to connect the DVR to a dedicated monitor which I had to go buy at Best Buy for an additional $140. Then, I was not able to even set up the account on the mobile app because once I typed my username and password, the phone on my brand new Samsung s21, the submit button was not visible on the screen. So I called customer service and they said, oh yeah that's an ongoing problem but they're not really doing anything about it, so just try signing up on the website, which I was able to do... Ok, I'll let that go... Then I started the process of setting up my four cameras. Three worked, one didn't, so I called customer service again, and eventually we got it to work. Okay fine, I'll let that go too... Then once I finish the process I'm setting up all four cameras, they were visible on the monitor and on my mobile app while I was in the house and connected to the Wi-Fi. So I left the house and drove away, I parked the car to test the app on my phone. But I got a message saying oops there is no device installed on the app. I drove back home, which got me automatically connected to the Wi-Fi and the device for your period on the app. So I called customer service for the third time and they instructed me to do a full Factory setup of the DVR. I did that three times because they told me that it would make the DVR appear on the mobile app without being on the Wi-Fi. Mind you it does not say that anywhere on the instructions. It finally worked on the fourth try but when I clicked on the device it said it couldn't connect! So I called customer service for the fourth time and they blamed it on my T-Mobile connection being too slow which is not, I am on 5G, or 4G when 5G is not available. I finally got too frustrated and returned everything. I purchased a 3 camera Blink system for less than a hundred bucks and it works great! Btw, when I return the Night Owl system to Best Buy, the employee pointed to the exact same system on the floor that someone else had just returned as well...

Beautiful images from the camera. Follow the instructions and your camera will work well. Pair it before mounting or you're going to have to take it down just to pair it again.

Im on the road 75% of the year. These help me monitor my house while I'm away. Gives me a piece of mind knowing that my wife and kids are protected while im gone. Picture and video quality are amazing.

Pretty easy to use, good quality video, can send you alerts with snapshot of motion or just human face recognition, runs its on wireless to cameras reducing bandwidth on your home network. Interface is a bit non-intuitive and archaic but overall great system!

Works great. I love that there is no subscription. Everything is recorded automatically, and the picture is crystal clear. I have the DVR and front door camera plugged into a battery backup so even during power outages I’ll have coverage at the most crucial point.

Good cameras but looses wifi and cameras have like 8 seconds delay
