BUYER BEWARE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased an 8 camera and HD DVR system a few years ago, the app has always been sub par but I dealt with it, recently I had an issue with logging into my system (password issues) and reached out to tech support as I have done in the past. Part of the reason this system was purchased was because it was advertised to come with lifetime 24/7 tech support. I was told when I contacted that they no longer support or offer any assistance for this system. Even a basic password reset. They refuse to allow you any sort of escalation process to see if any further solutions to a basic password reset can be made and continue to push you towards spending hundreds more on a new system. So my fully functional system is junk. The rep stated that every 4 to 6 years they will discontinue support of the older systems in order to force you to upgrade into a new system. BUYER BEWARE you will spend hundreds of dollars to have an unsupported brick in a few years.

The system WAS good, until it WASN'T
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the system for about 2 yrs and did not have a wide array of options but worked alright. Then...the app went down. This happened late summer 2023. According to them, there have been many updates put out but none have worked for me. Their customer service is almost impossible to get to and when you do, they are horrible. I now have system that has no useful app. I can only watch at home which is of very little use to me since most of us want to be able to check app when not home. I have grown tired and have given up that there might be a fix. Exactly why I am on BestBuy website now, looking for a new system.

Save your money and invest into a system that actually works

the cleaner
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told i could use my computer to set it up- wrong I wanted a camera on all the time, wrong only when sensor picks up movement. if your home had multiple thugs moving in 360 not sure how good the sensors are at a distance before you can get out the cleaning supplies out.

Save your hard earned money. Don't buy.

Their systems only last about 2 years, and they only give you two years of support. After that you're forced to buy an all new security system. Stay away!

Needs total software overhaul
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After spending a couple of days mounting and stringing the wires to system, I was very disappointed with the software. Accessing the system is easy, but there is no way to adjust the sensitivity of the cameras, or block out zones so they don't trigger non-stop, the fastest playback speed is 16x (needs 32x), it takes forever to update the screen when scrolling through videos..... in short, the software for this system blows. Key features simply aren't available.

Don't waste your money.

No sound, the notifications are "DVR Alert", but won't open the actual camera to see it. The video quality is definitely not HD, and it's laggy on a good day. They should be embarrassed charging people for this. Get a Swann.

You may need to check the quality of your home or business internet service though if you are wanting to stream multiple streams via your internet though.
