The cameras were easy to install. The only problem was that the DVR needs to be plugged onto the router. I misunderstood when I bought it, and thought it was wireless to the DVR. I wasn't a big deal, I just had to adjust the way it was wired. The picture quality is great, even at night. I did need help installing the app, but the technical support line made it quick and easy.

This carema is easy to use has a very good picture both day and night was easy to install in addition it was very easy to demonstrate to others on proper use.

With eight channels, four additional cameras can be added with options of sound and pan-&-tilt (vertical & horizontal rotation) with excellent night vision in black & white. With additional programming, this system also enables a person to view the cameras with a cell phone when away. Any handyperson can install this system. Cons: Each of the four cameras comes with a 60 foot cable that incorporates power and camera signal for the DVR; in some cases, a 60 feet cable may not be long enough? 100 foot cables are available and various lengths of extension cables as well. 1-10 Scale: 9.5

Great cameras awesome quality day and night. Easy to set up and operate

After finding evidence of someone snooping around my house, I decided to put up a camera system. This was so simple and was up and running in just a few minutes. The iPhone/iPad apps were a breeze to setup and I can check on my house from anywhere now. Luckily we haven't had any break-ins since installing the cameras, but we were able to watch raccoons fighting at night in our yard and we also caught the neighbor's dog who'd been using our yard as its toilet. All-in-all - I'm very satisfied.

The cameras are the best for continuous feed and clear video. The downside is that we needed the cable to be at least 150 feet.

Once you get these cameras mounted and setup they are great for monitoring what goes on around your house. Love the app that allows viewing on your smartphone from anywhere. I even purchased 2 more add-on cameras.

System came with 4 cameras and I went back out and got 2 more. Got this as the deal of the day. Fairly easy to set up the cameras and the phone app. I'm a happy customer so far!

I was a little skeptical about a wired system at first because of running the wires (both video and power). When I received the system, I was very pleased to see that the wires were not bulky at all. Very easy to conceal and run where ever you want. The cameras have very good pictures and the night-vision is fantastic. I would like to add 4 more cameras to my system in the near future.

These were easy to install and the program was likewise, easy. Picture is decent quality, and love the fact that it alerts me to move on a cell phone, This is the first security system I've bought and so far, it has worked out well.

We have almost 1 acre of land we want to watch and thought these cameras would do it. Sadly we need to add a couple more to the system. The picture quality is good for a 720p but distant images are blurry (as to be expected). This particular model doesn't allow you to tilt or move the camera with the app, it has to be done manually. The night vision feature is very grainy but again it's to be expected from a 720p. I would recommend this to anyone who has a smaller area to cover.

Easy install, very good quality, and viewable on mobile devices.

The system was much more difficult to set up and use than I anticipated, although I admit I'm a novice. Two of the cables that came with the system were defective and didn't work. The only option Night Owl offered was to send the whole system back but I already had two cameras up so I opted to just buy replacement cables on Amazon. One of the cameras is already bad (I've had the system in use for just under 2 weeks). I haven't had a chance to contact Night Owl about it but I can tell you I will not be happy if they say to send the whole unit back again. Tech support is OK. Not great, mostly because they have very limited phone support and they want you to do a chat instead. Not convenient when the system is in a different room from your computer. The software is also just OK. I have two Foscam cameras and their software is much more straightforward and intuitive. The mouse and remote that come with the system are really cheaply made and very light. They are inconsistent in the amount of pressure it takes to select an item (very inconvenient when trying to enter your password). If I didn't invest so much time and effort in getting this set up it would be going back!

Amazing value for what you get, very crisp and clear picture

Setup for us was a breeze. Connecting to the app was 4 steps and very easy as well. No complains. Would recommend and already have. Others ate just as pleased.
