We needed a camera system that could be used indoors and outdoors on a food truck unit and this came in very handy. Easy to install and smart phone apps ready.

So, I wanted a camera system just because my office has one window, and I wanted to see everywhere without issue. Well, this does it, perfectly. But the advanced features lack, alot.\ First, the installation is pretty simple. But, the camera mounts are horrible. The camera has a pivot ball, simple, right? No. No matter how much you tighten them, they keep moving. Daytime: No issues, but, the cameras only record at 15 FPS. Not too bad, but the picture quality is amazing. However, the zoom is junk. These cameras are 2 MP, but I expected more out of a camera system for $300. Nighttime: Yikes! Only 1 camera works perfectly at night. 2 other cameras you have to position just right, and 1 is pure ehhhh. They claim ambient lighting causes distortion, well, this is horrible. I have no lights outside causing this. May Night Owl LLC will see this and help me figure out my issue.

I was originally looking at a wireless set up that would allow me to install my security system without having to get into the attic. After researching those systems, they did not make sense to me because of the limited recording time and battery maintenance scheduleI would need to adhere to. I chose this particular system because it seemed basic enough for what I needed and now that I’ve had it for six months, I am still very happy with it. I ultimately had the geek squad come to install it on a very hot summer day right before vacation. I have been able to keep tabs on my property since that very moment and to this day. It’s nice to know what’s going on at my house anytime of the day no matter where I’m at. The cameras have an acceptable frame per second monitoring through my Internet connection and can be monitored at full high-resolution if I need to see detail. I’m able to see when my kids get home from school and if the gardeners have come by or not. Night vision is Acceptable although I have seen other night vision cameras with much sharper images. This may be due to the position the cameras have been mounted with particular ambient light too close to the lens.. I can still see enough detail at night even in my backyard where there is no light at all. Using the smart phone app is fairly straightforward and although some have made suggestions it be updated, it seems adequate enough to use. The main recording unit seems like it buzzes a little bit louder than it should but it doesn’t seem to have affected operation. I would go with this same set up again as it seems to be adequate for what I need. I think the key to the success of this system is all in installation. A experienced installer will know exactly where the cameras should be located and what position they should be mounted in to get the best overall video play back and the geek squad did a great job of setting it up for me .

System overall is great and runs smoothly. My only complaint is when a camera is set up to record when it senses motion, it often times out and stops recording even though there is still motion. So you end up seeing the start of the event, but the camera cuts out and you don't get to see all of it.

This Surveillance system are the best product I ever tried, it works perfectly and the 1080 allows to see clear definition the nigthtime vision are awesome you can see even a mosquito flying in the dark and also it works with my mobile device, I recommend it .

Overall the unit was easy to setup. Watch out on setting up motion alerts and the other alerts. It takes some time to dial in a good balance of settings to minimize false alerts which every system will have.

1st home surveillance system I’ve purchased. Read several reviews and looked at many systems. This NightOwl system was not difficult to set up at all. It’s somewhat of a task running all the cables, but that is to be expected with a wired system. Cameras have great daylight video and the night video is pretty good. They are extremely sensitive and the motion detection is triggered by insects at night. I’ve read that this is a fairly common issue with cameras that do not have heat recognition, so I can’t really complain to much— I’d rather record a little too much than not catch enough. Overall this system is working great and I don’t really have any complaints.

Really good pictures w night vision and viewing/recording can be linked to mobile devices when ya download the app and can see through any or all cameras when away comes w everything you need to install and hookup. But can be a little tricky on setting up and linking everything if u r computer savvy u shouldn't have a problem if ya not it does have a setup wizard and ya may have to wait on phone for tech support if ya lose ur password or need help that's probably the worst part for me

This set of security cameras is awesome. While the set I bought doesn't have sound or self moving cameras (once installed the camera will need to be pointed in direction in need of the most coverage and can only be moved or adjusted by hand.) They do have excellent quality, amazing night vision, and motion capture, (my tree blows in the wind the system records.) It has an awesome hard drive which has 1TB of storage. You can lock clips to save them and it automatically records over the oldest files first (unless you lock a clip those don't erase on their own.) The program that comes with it is EASY to use and has companion apps and programs for your computer and cellphones (needs wifi to work with other devices though) playback mode is clear and so far I have not experienced lag of any sort. I have had this set for about 8 months now and I'm confident knowing my house is protected and if something happens I have it on tape.

i like the system but don't like the connectivity, always disconnecting. technical suport not good.

Got this system because of being a good name brand and all the reviews. I would have gave it a 5 star but it was difficult to get set up but now I don't have any regrets about buying it. Good stable pictures. It replays like your watching something live happening.

I needed added security and a device with an app so I had access to the cameras for my retail store. This device is amazing, simple, and easy to use and install!

This system has been a great asset to my property. The picture is very clear. The motion detection is fantastic I currently have two mounted at the 3rd story level and it picks up the street no problem. The only issues I've had are the remote viewing feature though the internet and saving clips in a readable format. Though this may just be my limited understanding of port forwarding and router firewalls.

Great camera quality. Very easy to set up. We decided on the wired cameras so that we do not have to worry about recharging the batteries. These can be used anywhere and capture a good range.

I've always been a fan of Night Owl security systems. They're products are quality and they offer 24/7 support. I upgraded to this set from the older TVL900 cameras. The HD picture is amazing. The setup is easy and I like that I only had to scan my phone and tablet with the barcode to set them up to view from my devices. I can also view the cameras on my office television.

Setup four cameras outside. Cameras work really well at night or in daylight. I am able to watch live or watch previous recordings. Cameras are very sensitive but can be easily adjusted so less movement triggers camera recordings. Can watch live or review recordings from iPhone and iPad.

This is a great starter system for work or home - fantastic price ans comes with everything you need to get started
