This has to be wired in, just removed you old outdoor light and put this one in its place. It is easy to setup and use. Has 2 way communications so you can talk to whoever crosses in its path. It is built very well and should hold up to the outdoor elements in the winter and summer.

Sadly in the location where I was replacing a standard exterior flood lamp the wifi on 2 ghz was low. There was wifi and the system would say it was setup and ready but needed to update firmware. After several calls with product support (the people were nice but multiple times the call was dropped and they would call me back) the last agent explained my wifi speeds at that location would not work with this device. I returned it at my local store without issue.
