    The "Nifty Fifty" is the way to go for portraiture photography, and this Nikon lens is smooth on the Z series cameras. I really think it is a must have for any serious or hobbyist photographer.

    Have this lens and the Nikon 50mm z 1.2s version. This lens really is as good as the 1.2. The bokeh is negligible for price difference. Best 50mm to date form Nikon.

    It works great and is a wonderful classic. The auto focus is completely silent and great for any kind of ceremony where you don’t want to produce noise through in focusing and paired with the z6 it is truly great

    I was seriously considering getting the 50mm f1.2 version of this lens but after watching several videos comparing the two I’m glad I bought the 1.8 version. Both lenses are extremely sharp and with the savings I can put that money towards another lens. If you are looking for an excellent prime lens this should be in your bag.

    This is the best 50 mm I’ve used in 50+ years. Extremely sharp wide open and fast focusing. A great normal lens for the Z system
