It is also lightweight and easy to use, making it a great choice for both beginners and experienced photographers. While some customers have mentioned that the autofocus feature could be improved, the overall positive feedback suggests that this lens offers excellent value for the price.

Lightest, smallest Nikon FX lens is sharp

This is a good travel lens, particularly for FX camera bodies since it remains a 50mm focal length. As mentioned in other reviews, this lens will only auto focus on bodies with built in motors (not the D3XXX or 5XXX models). The light weight is unfortunately reflected in the build quality. Overall, though, a great value for a very sharp lens on my D750.

I'm an automotive photographer with a D810 and yet this lens is attached 99% of the time. If it's not in your bag then you're not a photographer :)

I really like this lens and the way it looks. Great in low light. I like that it looks like the older manual lens but it's auto focus as well as manual. Overall this is a great portrait and close up lens.

This lense is better than I was anticipating. Pictures show so much detail. Wish I would have bought this when I purchased my D3200. Can do close up pictures and semi-long distance shots.

The focal length made this a perfect camera to shoot photos of my artwork. I kept having problems using both zoom lenses that came with the camera, but this lens did the trick.

This lens has been around a long time. Every bag should have one. Its light, very fast and you can't beat it for the price. Sorry, it doesn't zoom. you'll have to........move back and forth to frame the subject. You can probably use the exercise.

Excellent high quality lens. You can definitely tell the difference in pictures. The key is understanding how to use the manual aspects.

Great lens make sure you camera has auto focus lens is a manual lens and doesn’t come with auto focus. I have a Nikon d750 and a Nikon D3300. My D750 has AF built in the camera so the lens doesn’t need to have Af built in. But on my D3300 I have to manually focus the lens

This is a great lense to leave on the camera as a default lens. It is small, agile and versatile. I bought this lense because it was rated as the "best bang for the buck" at the Best Reviews website: https://bestreviews.com/best-nikon-lenses

I bought this to shoot my son's basketball games. I couldn't afford one of those super zooms with 2.8 and even with high ISO on my zoom its near impossible to get great indoor basketball shots. Since I am able to get fairly close to the action this worked great! You can't beat the price and results. Doesn't look sexy but who cares!!
