    I'm not a great photographer but this lens certainly helps! If you've ever wondered how people take those professional looking pictures with the blurred background, the right lens makes all the difference. I bought my D90 a few years ago and have been happy with the zoom lens it came with. On the suggestion of a friend, I got this 50mm lens and been very happy with the quality photos it takes. The only drawback, if any, is getting use to physically moving back and forth to get the subject of my photos framed the way I like (unlike a zoom), other than that, I would highly recommend this product.

    Love this nifty fifty. not recommended for lower end DSLRS (D5XXX and D3XXX) manual focus for those cameras.

    The clarity of the photos, including in low light conditions. Field of view is limited. Unless you want just the face or some other small item, you have to stand well far back

    good old school lens. keep in mind this will not work with all new dslrs and it will not focus as fast as a modern afs model. the best bargain out there.
