This lens does its job and take stunning photos, focusing on the subject and blurring the background. It was everything i needed except its completely manual focus. Tried to make it work for a while but it became too tedius getting the correct focus. Especially not good when in a rush to take a photo of a passing scene. Also, i find myself needing to stand quite far from the subject when taking a picture.

This is the best lens for everything! Love taking portraits with it, and have played around with pets and food. The shutter speed is great, and when taking pictures at around 7:30-8ish (a little past sunset) the pictures were still bright and nice! I definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a versatile lens.

I use this on my D7500 as I like to shoot at 70 - 80mm; this lens is equivalent to a 75mm on a full frame camera. Fantastic pictures -- as good as or better than my 35mm DX prime lens. I have learned very quickly that fixed focal length lenses are far superior to zooms.

I have to say this is a truly amazing product. I've always have Nikkor G lenses, but this D lens has an outstanding range and autofocus properties for the Nikon dslr's that have autofocus motor capabilities. In my opinion, a far outstanding product over the G lens for an $100 less price tag.

This lens wasn't the correct one for my Nikon Camera. It lost some of the autofocus ability. I had to return it for a much more expensive one.

I bought this for my Nikon D3200. Being a half-frame camera this lens is more like an 80mm lens, meaning that it requires a good deal of distance to frame a subject.

I needed a lens to shoot 8th grade basketball. This worked fine as I was able to get close to the floor. Of course its not a 500mm 2.8 but I can see where it will come in handy in the future as well. You just can't beat this price!

I was trying to get clear images of flat artwork. With the zoom lenses that came with my camera, I was finding the edges of the images were not very clear, slightly blurry. This lens seemed to solve the problem.

I purchased this for my daughter who is a novice photographer. She wanted a nice lens that she was able to use in doing portraits. She picked this out herself and is very pleased with it.
