This lens is very compact and a great fixed lens for the price. The focus is quick and sharp.

It takes great pictures but doesn’t have auto mode and sometimes your pic comes out not so great so everytime you take a pic you have to adjust the zoom if you are just taking pics of the objects it’s great but if you are taking pics of kids running around I recommend go for a S model which has auto feature and is $100 more

This is my first ever prime lens, and i love it. It takes some getting used to, because you can only use the camera in manual mode, and have to make all adjustments yourself. But once you get the hang of it, the photos come out amazing, and getting that perfect picture just feels that much better.

This lens works great on my D50. Fast and accurate focus, light weight, low profile. Not as sharp as I'd hoped.

Be careful with which lens you get. I didn't realize until I got home that there are two types of lens for Nikon Crop sensors. This one does support Autofocus but because the DSLR I'm using is lacking an autofocus motor, Autofocus is not supported. Don't let the guys in the store sell you this as what you want if you're using the D3XXX series. You want the lens that has a motor in it.

I loved this lens, but it did not auto focus on my camera. I have a nikon d3000, which is a very entry level slr. I loved the lens when I could focus it properly, but I returned the lens because I needed something with auto for when I need to take a quick picture.

It's a great lens to have on my camera bag cheap an affordable. Sharp lens to use for portrait
