I bought this to get away from carrying two lenses and for more reach on the zoom. However it is heavy and will be hard to hold steady with full zoom on something 50-100 ft away.

This lens is very versatile because you can shoot close-ups (18mm) as well as long distances (300mm) without having to carry multiple lenses. This was an amazing purchase and I am very happy with the shots I have taken.

A great lens for travel, eliminates the need for a lot of extra lenses. Handheld long focal sharpness is great with vibration reduction. Full range of focal lengths is perfect, any longer requires another lens which most situations are not needed. I'm totally happy with it and the Nikon line in general.

18 - 300 mm range pretty much covers my needs. Completely compatible with my Nikon D7000.

I bought it to match my new Nikon D3300 for a trip to the Galapagos Islands. It never left the camera body for the whole week. A super lens for landscapes and for close-up zooms.

This is an outstanding lens by Nikon. Huge zoom range, crystal clear optics at all focal lengths, and convenient controls including Nikon's excellent vibration control feature. Well worth the money.

This 18-300mm lens is ideal for all most all situations. It allows views from close up to far out objects, fast auto-focus, and great point of view capabilities.

This lense has a WOW factor. Very pricy but definitely worth the price! My pictures are remarkably cleaner and I like the all in one zoom/telephoto lense
