I was going through a dilemma trying to decide between the 35mm and 50mm. I end up choosing the 35mm because of the wider angle it has over the 50. Overall I am satisfied with my pick as the pictures taken with the 35mm are gorgeous. Now all i need is the perfect zoom lens any suggestions?

So I was unsure whether upgrading a lens would make me happy enough to hold off buying a new camera. This lens did not disappoint!! The 1.8 f let's in so much light for video, and gets that nice blurred background when taking portraits. Worth every penny!!

Great lens for the price, a must have for any DX user

This is probably one of my favorite lens to shoot with on my two DX cameras. It stays on my camera at least 80% of the time. Some challenges in direct sunlight, but nothing that cannot be overcome by changing the angle just a little or a quick fix in post processing. Overall, great lens for the price!

My wife started a photography business a few months back and insisted that she had to have this lense. I know nothing about cameras, so I didn't see what the big deal was. After buying it for her and seeing the shots she got with it, I was blown away by the clarity and scale of the pictures.

We needed many different lenses. The Best Buy Sales people are the best. Know everything about the Nikon Equipment and matched us with all of the right equipment that we needed. Now we are able to shoot very close up with the 35M lens. Highly Recommend this lens.

Bought this lens to use with my d3400. It has been excellent. In normal use i don't need the flash. This is very helpful for holidays or birthday parties. Kids move fast and use of the flash that many times in rapid succession seems to annoy the crowd quickly.

As far as a cheap, dx prime lens this does everything I could ask and more. Great for low light and portraits, inexpensive enough to not be worried about it all the time. Perfect lens for walking around.

Lens produces good picture quality for the price (remember you are not spending $1,000). This is a excellent lens for beginners & is a good starting point.

Again I purchased this lens as part of a package deal. It is a great Nikkor lens and it helps completes my set of necessary lenses. I purchased my new Nikon camera at Bestbuy as a package deal as well. Now the two lenses along with a 50mm lens compliments my camera.

If you shoot DX this is a must have for the camera bag! I would recommend getting this before the nifty fifty. I have both but wish I would have bought this first. A. Fantastic. Lens.

This is now my favorite lens in my bad. I wish I could get a nice full frame camera but having a lens like this with an available f1.8 makes having a crop frame sensor camera a little less annoying in low light

Bought this lens along with the Nikon d5600. Loved it! Was debating between the 50mm and 35mm lenses but I wanted to be able to take photos in smaller spaces so went for this one and it didn't disappoint me ! Really like the results it produces !

This is a must have lens. It is very good glass at a very low price. Photos are crisp and clear and is a great lens for any occasion. Great for portraits. You cannot go wrong with this lens. I use this lens on both a D7100 and D5100.

Bought this lens for my 5 year old Nikon camera, and it has quickly become my favorite lens. It's allowed to take some amazing photos in low light, would highly recommend.

I had my original lens and then a zoom lens for my d5600. I decided to buy this one to use for portraits and honestly it’s become my full time lens. I keep this one on at all times and it really works great on any type of picture.

I bought this lens to accompany my D5000. I have yet to put the package lens on my camera because I love this one so much! It works great indoors and I love the bokeh outdoors. Definitely a must to make your pictures "pop". The only negative is that it is a fixed lens and doesn't zoom.

Happy with the great shots and much better quality pictures with this lens. One of the best lens made by Nikon in this price range. I've been shooting with a Nikon D5300 with this lens. Just Love it. Quality of portraits are very nice and crisp.Definitely recommend this.
