I purchased this lens as a companion to my 18-55 which also collapses. My dog and I love to hike and having a lens which is very compact and sharp is a real plus. The lens is tack sharp which pretty much goes without saying for a Nikon.

Take good care of your camera lens and they will take care of all your photo creations. It's a well balanced piece of equipment - light weight, smooth operation, easy to mount to my camera body with a firm click, and small enough to fit into my cramped camera bag. Go for it !

The lens is just what we were looking for and were glad to find it in stock at Best Buy, because we needed it that day. The Best Buy associate was very helpful in finding the right match to replace our broken lens.

Great lens. Much better quality pictures than the ones I get from the lens that came with the camera. Glad I upgraded to this one. I can't wait to buy some more lenses for my camera to experiment with.

Purchased to have a zoom for sporting events. Great lens but disappointed it was so much to buy when purchased separately, when it could be bundled ith a camera and bag and be far more reasonable. Unfortunately, I already have a bag and camera and only needed the lens.

Overall great product and price. I bundled it with accessories and an additional lens and the price was good. All the features are a little overwhelming but I downloaded a free app called Nikon for Dummies. It helped a ton and got me ready to start taking pictures.

This lens helps capture distance objects. Changing lenses make be little cumbersome, but when you see the picture quality its worth. Very handy!

Bought this with my D5300 and saved money by bundling. Works great for action shots. I take a lot of sports pics and it freezes action great!
