I purchased the lens to compliment my Nikon D300s. I was able to capture some great photos while on my vacation. I would have liked to have purchased the 55-300 but couldn't bring myself to spend the additional money.

Have not used it too much but it appears to be very nice and the price was reasonable for something you may not use much. The range is nice so it may get used more than I originally thought.

Provides good zoom and comes with the lock button for the lens. The zoom lens I had received with my camera bundle did not provide vibration reduction / image stabilization which restricted its use to the tripod. This lens is the perfect add-on to my camera kit with the standard 18-55mm lens.

smooth focusing, has a locking feature on the lens which allows it to store smaller than my previous lens this size. Like it has VR which my last one did not. Takes a crisper pic.
