||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Firstly - I am a semi-advanced amateur who was looking for a lens to mate with my Nikon D5200. I wanted a lens I could travel with on cruises to capture a variety of images whiling traveling about. So far this lens has been just what I planned for and I have been able to capture a variety of images. I can get close ups of people with interesting backgrounds - although admittedly from a farther distance than I am used to - as well as interesting architectural details not possible from my 18-55mm lens. I enjoy using the lens and I recommend it for those of you who fit in my category of photography.

Amazing new lens!

There are deer, a huge flock of wild turkeys and a cougar that frequent our property. This amazing lens helps me to get up close photos without getting up close! Special thanks to the Best Buy photo person for being so knowledgeable and help me find just the right lens.

Great lens for outside use

Being a novice photographer and learning more now I would have bought a 50 mm lens before buying this one if I had it to do over again. Still a great lens and will be glad I have it down the road when the kids start sports.

Great Zoom for the money

I came in real handy during a wedding we attended. I would highly recommend this lens if your looking nice close ups from a distance.

I've loved every picture that has come from this lense. It shoots clearly and it is easy to focus. Would recommend this lense.
