This lens is used on my 2nd camera when I am shooting out in the field, and do not need the 18mm format. I get very sharp, crisp photos with it and it zooms in for many of my close up shots. A very nice lens from Nikon for a reasonable price.

I bought the AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300 lens to go with my new Nikon D5300 camera. It is so amazing. Far away places look like you can reach out with your hand and touch them. Great price.

Best buy matched a price in store for me which was great. The lense does what I need it to do as far as zooming in to take pictures at youth soccer games from the sidelines and get very good quality close ups of on the field action shots..we have not used it extensively yet but are very happy so far.

Good lens for the price, most mag for this price. Vibration reduction works well, can take portrait shots at full mag with good focus.

I have been trying to get beautiful pictures using the zoom. Im not a photographer but I love pictures, so i know when a picture is good or not. Anyway i bough a new camera thinkkng that the problem was my camera. Until i read the review if this lense. It has a vibration reduction feature that a low you to zoom pictures without lost resolution. Pictures loom so awesome. Im mot a photographer but i can see hoy mi puctures improve their wuality for more than 200%. Its a way more better than the lense that come in the bundle. I will defintly recomend this product

This is by far my favorite lens. I have a 35-55mm which I rarely take out of the bag. The range on this lens gives you the ability to take great general photos, and get in tight for some really personal shots. Stabilization works extremely well for my shaky hands too.

I am new to DSLRs and bought this when I bought the camera bundle because of the discount and knowing I am going to Italy this fall I wanted a zoom. Had I realized what the water dripping off surfers faces looked like on the lens I might have done this sooner!

Lens is light weight and intuitive to use. Flexible. Pictures are clear when zooming and easy to upload to a computer.

I purchased this lense because I accidentally dropped my other one. I had the 55 to 200 lense. I decided to upgrade to the 55-300 after looking at the reviews. I am thoroughly enjoying it.

This was a pricey addition to my photography gear, but this lens has been everything I hoped it would be in doing my research thus far. I am very pleased with the ease of use (it doesn't require me to know anything more or operate the camera any differently than the standard lens) and the image quality has been great in the limited opportunities I've had to use it to date. I am looking forward to taking fabulous pictures with this on my vacation this summer!

This lens is a perfect "next step" from the 18-55 that comes with the D3300. It doesn't replace it, but gives me the ability to get great night shots as well as long-range outdoor photos. Also captures nice people shots. Very pleased.

I bought this lens so I could get closer pictures of my son during his football games. While in the stands my smaller lens could not get the players faces, my husband bought me this one for my bday, and wow did it mae a difference.

This is a great lens to carry with you or keep it on your camera. It has the capability of your standard 55mm to the telephoto 300mm. The optics are excellent.

This is a great lens for zooming. I was out this weekend at a river and could not believe the distance I was getting with it. The image stabilization is key on this unit for max distance. Well worth the money.

I travel a lot and it is important to have a lightweight lens to carry around especially if I am hiking or using a smaller bag to carry camera things.

I have been adding to my camera gear, every several months or when I can afford to, a variety of lens for my Nikon cameras. This lens is easy to use and not too heavy. Offers good range and takes nice photos. I would recommend.
