Customers are saying

Customers love the outstanding image quality and impressive zoom capabilities of the AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR Super Telephoto Zoom Lens. The fast focus speed and effective Vibration Reduction are also frequently praised, along with the lens's reach and value for its price. However, some find the lens to be large and heavy.

This lens is my favorite. I use this for aviation photography but it is quite heavy if you are just holding it. Your arms will get fatigued after a while. Quality is amazing though.

I am impressed with the image quality of this lens throughout the entire zoom range. Clear and sharp images. I use it for aviation photography and the VR function works very well for hand held shots. I use it on a D800 body. Am very pleased with the performance. Lens is bulky but it is worth it's weight!

This is a wonderful lens. I use it every day. I bought as a replacement for one just like it where the zoom feature stopped working. I use it mostly for nature photography. I even use it to take pictures of insects and get great results using it with a high megapixel Nikon camera. I even get great pictures using it without a tripod.

The Nikon 200-500mm telephoto lens is a great lens for the price! It works great for both photos as well as videos. As documentary filmmakers, we're able to get in tight on our subjects in the wild from a safe distance. When cinema lenses run $70K for comparable distances (for example the Canon 50-1000mm), you can't beat the savings!

I shoot birds, this lens fulfills that need. Aside from that there isn't anything special about this low budget lens. It doesn't wash my car, doesn't sing me to sleep at night and doesn't make me PB&J's when I am hungry. It helps me shoot birds and does an amazing job at that. Therefore I will keep this lens and we will take long walks on the beach at sunset singing disco songs from the 70's while watching the waves crash against the shore blowing wind across my head where my hair used to be. The End

Incredible lens for the price. Paired with the Nikon d500 it was a match made in heaven for wildlife photography. Actually works pretty well in low-light situations even though A 5.6.

This is a great lens. It's new for Nikon and I wasn't sure if I should go with the Tamron 150-600 but I'm happy I went with this. The VR is amazing and I feel quite capable of hand holding this while out shooting.

The reviews and research I did on this lens was all great, some people are saying they got a bad copy due to things not being tac sharp. But so far my images look good, so for now I will keep shooting with it and go from there. So far I have shot airplanes and birds in flight and pics look great.

This lenses is excelente! If you're looking for a outdoor action!, with this lenses you're covered. I took great photos with it. I recomend, also i wouldn't buy it from no other place because it is very complex and expensive, therefore only from a reliable store like bestbuy i would recomend buy it from.
