hard to get a good copy

All of them were sharp around 5-10 yards distance, but soft at infinity. The 4th copy also slightly soft, but not as bad as the first 3. Anyway goes to Nikon to adjustments. Checked with Nikon D850 and D500 cameras. I don't expect fom $1500 lens made in China to be as good as 10k lenses made in Japan, but definitely not as it is. It's good lens for the price, but you have to check every copy very carefully. Apple also has manufacturing in China, but their quality control works, not as Nikon's. Nikon, you should be ashamed!

I took some amazing shots of the moon with this lens! It really has great clarity! If you want great clarity in a telephoto lens at an excellent price, this is a lens you should really look at adding to your collection!! I’m super glad I did. When my friends or passer by’s see this on my camera, it really grabs their attention.
