I've wanted this lens for a while and I'm so happy I finally bit the bullet - I love this lens! It's a bit heavy, but I don't mind from the quality of photos I'm able to capture.

This lense is great! Even though the more pricey of the few I was looking at, this lense did not disappoint. Great choice for the 24-70mm

This lens is expensive but the old adage "you get what you pay for" applies here. The images are extremely sharp. The capabilities of this lens to resolve an image is astounding! It takes full advantage of high megapixel camera's.

This is one of my favorite lenses, and my all around workhorse. This thing is super sharp and great for landscapes and portraits. One of Nikons best lenses.

I am pleased with the results of this lens. Not as heavy as some of the others. Don't need VR because on my Z6 it's like a VR lens

This is an amazing lens. Great for weddings and nice low light capability. Great bokeh, fast focus, and built to last. It's a bit heavy but expected for a pro level zoom lens. It's also pricy so unless you are shooting for business it's probably not worth the price tag. If you choose to grab this you won't regret the quality!

This is an excellent lens for someone looking for a fast, sharp lens with medium wide to long normal focal length. Great for general use, street walking and indoor and outdoor candids. It is a bit big, heavy and pricy but if you are shooting a Nikon FX DSLR you have already accepted a size and cost premium. The lens feels perfect on a FX DSLR and has good balance. Focus ring and zoom ring are silky smooth and stay where you leave them. The lens build is heavy duty with typical Nikon Pro level durability.

Overall, this is a staple in any serious NIkon photographer's bag. Great for portraits, landscape and general photography. A bit heavy, but solid construction. Fast auto-focusing system and great range of DOF. The bokeh (compared to the some of the 3rd party lenses) is also more pleasing and creamy smooth. You'll pay a bit more for this lens, but it's worth every dollar. A must have for portrait and landscape photographers. This one does NOt have VR, but unless you shoot in low light, save the extra $600 for something else. I can shoot this one down to 1/40 to 1/60s and still get sharp photos.

This lens is incredibly sharp, and captures a nice range of contrast. my only compliant would be the size and weight, however I can get used to that for the quality.

It's always a question when. Buying expensive lenses whether you should buy Nikon or another brand such as Tamron or a Sigma. Well all I can say is spend that extra money and you'll be blown away. The nano coat glass makes this lens so clear. The focus system is so fast, it makes me feel my old nikon setup was complete garbage. I'll stick with Nikon glass forever.

Bought the Nikon 24-70 2.8 as a walk around lens for a Nikon D810. It's an absolutely wonderful focal range for everyday use. The 2.8 provides wonderful bokah wide open. Focus is fast and tack sharp. Build construction is solid. Only drawback is its weight.

Last wedding I shot I kept this lens on the entire time -- perfect for all lighting scenarios, from indoor ceremony lighting, to outdoor cloudy day shots, to christmas light covered reception ceilings and even great for their sparkler exit. The aperture is on point! The lens only downfall is that it doesn't have a macro/micro switch which would make it even more versatile and all-in-one.

This is a great lens. I couldn’t justify the extra cost of the VR version but have no regreats on this option. Very sharp images and the 2.8 aperature is great in low light. This lens is on my camera more than any other.

This is an amazing lens, especially on a DX lens. But the F2.8 aperture is very unforgiving with poor focusing technique. I had to use AF fine tune on my camera to get the optimum focus. Also not having VR makes it so important to hold the lens properly during shooting. This lens was reviewed on DXOMark as having some of the highest image quality stats, but again you need to use it right to get those results. All in all I'm extremely satisfied with this lens once I got it tuned in.

I should have bought it years ago. Fast and accurate. The perfect focal length for an indoor zoom with minimal light. Only negatives are: With the lense hood on, there are shadows from the built in flash. I need a "real" flash anyway. The price is steep.

Have taken 2 family weddings as well as sports and landscape pictures, the 2.8 f-stop allows a low ISO setting with great shutter speed for great quality pictures. Low light pictures using a flash takes incredible pictures with low IISO. I have taken some great indoor flash pictures at 100 ISO setting. I reminded me of the old vericolor 100 days using flim.
