This is my new favorite lens. I use it on my Nikon D750, I love how wide it is and how sharp it is. It’s great in low light which is another plus.

Excellent lens. A true pro would want a little less plastic and a little more metal in the housing. But the plastic has a benefit: light weight. This lens focuses sharply and quickly. Lens operation is smooth and quiet. A great lens for sunrise and sunset. Also for group photos, family photos, natural vistas. Nothing bad to say about it. I gave it a 4 only because it's relatively expensive and the mostly plastic housing. Will also make a great shot of the Milky Way on a dark, clear night in a dark place, with a tripod.

I use a Nikon CoolPix A as my every day camera and it features a 18mm wide angle lens. I have gotten some great photos with it, but it's still a point and shoot and the glass is great, but it's got nothing on a true DSLR lens. With this lens I can open the aperture all the way up to 1.8 to get some nice bokeh effect, while keeping subjects sharp. I enjoy taking wide photography and this lens does that. It's a great lens, great price, and lets you focus on your feet.

Edge to edge sharp on FX, handy on DX too!

The image quality of this lens leaves nothing to complain about. It's sharp from edge to edge on FX, even wide open, and stopped down it's deadly sharp. On DX, it makes a handy 35mm equivalent prime, though probably more than you'd want to spend to get that.

It's OK. I keep it in my camera bag because it has it's uses but not very often. It's not good in low light, get flicker and bad af over it. If you have just the right situation it can do well.
