One of the best products from Nikon. Incredibly sharp images. This was a dream lenses for me. I was in the market for a long time for a bargain price. Once I bought this lense, there is no turning back. I purchased this lense for low light photography. Mainly to capture my daughter’s figure skating pictures. It’s indoor and usually the light is not enough for regular lenses. We need fast lense. Last month in one of the figure skating competitions, I have captured some great pictures of my daughter and her friends programs. They came out pretty sharp and I printed them on my newly purchased Epson ET-8550 printer and OMG, the combination of this lense and the printer is amazing. I love this lense.

Reading all the reviews about this lens, I finally pulled the trigger. I have never owned the previous generation the VR1 or the VR2. Wanted to buy the nikkor 70-200 VR2 but,the reviews wasn't encouraging.so I was waiting for Nikon to upgrade to the next level and they did. This lens is sharp from edge to edge, the color rendering is superb, it's lightweight and the VR is incredibly steady. What else can I say?, Nikon 70-200mm FL ED is the perfect lens money can buy. Though it's very expensive but, perfect quality comes with a price

I am very pleased with the lens. It is lighter than the third party lenses. The zoom is smooth. The fn buttons on the lens are really nice. The lens body finish is high quality. It costs more then 3rd party but I was able to see a difference in quality. With respect to picture quality, there are many online reviews on line.

Top of the heap in sharpness, focusing and lightweight. VR is definitely improved over the 1st 2 versions of this lens. Yes they have switched the focusing and zoom ring from the previous versions. It will not matter once you see how this lens performs. Lightning fast focusing. I have owned the VRII, and this lens is TWICE as fast! Debuted at $2800, but on sale now. Buy!!!!!

I'm going to have to go with the saying, you get what you pay for. This glass is top shelf, great for photos and video! I use it with my Z6 and it works great. I also have a few other cameras and the results are also fantastic. I'm very impressed!

It's big and heavy and you'll worry about carrying such an expensive lens in public. But you shouldn't regret buying this lens when you start shooting with it. This is why you got into photography in the first place.

This lens is sharp, fast, and capable of whatever you use it for.
The only complaint I have would be that it can sometimes be tougher to find compositions that call for a 70-200mm lens.

This lens is amazing!
It is a lot of money but totally worth it.
I bought it to go on my D850 while shooting weddings.
It blew me away the first time I shot with it!
Only downfall is the weight of the lens.

Bought the lens during Miami SwimWeek and immediately saw the results. Focus was faster, cleaner, sharper. Perfect for my D500 and D750. Now I have to sell my old 70-200mm

Bought this to compliment my Nikon - AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR Wide-Angle Zoom Lens and a Nikon D850. I've used a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR AF-S 28-300 mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR as general all purpose lens but struggled with it taking pictures at poorly lit sporting events. This lens has changed that for me. Not only does it take excellent pictures in low light conditions, but the autofocus and VR are much better. With the additional clarity in the photos, I don't mind losing the additional focal length since I can crop the photos more to zoom into my intended subject.

I purchased this for my Nikon D500 and even though it is more then I ever thought I would convince myself to spend on a lens... I have not looked back. It's a great lens, very quick, but it is heavy.

The 70-200mm lens is considered part of the “Holy Trinity” that should be on the kit of any serious photographer. I have a Nikon D850, which demands high-quality potential to bring out its full quality. The Nikkor is considered an industry leader and did not disappoint. Focus is quick and tack-sharp. Tamron and Sigma also make nice glass, but after using this Nikkor I personally think the extra cost is justified.

Nikon 70-200 F2.8 is my everyday go to lens and it’s a must have beauty. The images are crisp and I use it for action, portraits and landscape photography. Works amazing in the low light and would recommend this blindly to anyone.

It is definitely an improvement in the quality of pictures. The lense is not to heavy to carry, but after doing a shoot, it feels heavy. The focus is at the end of the lense, so hand placement must be precise to not turn the focus when taking pictures. I am still getting used to it, but I really love this lense!
