I upgraded from a Tamron 70-200mm and though the jump in price is painful, this Nikon lens is everything it is promised to be. Fast, pin-point sharp and QUIET focusing (nice feature when shooting video!) Also great when I move from shooting on my D810 to using my D5300. I am in love with this pro lens.

I have used this lens and found it gives such a nice photo for clean sharp portraits, I've used it on little ones who are running around with accuracy and love the look of everything I get out of it.

If you are a Nikon fan, this lens is a must have. There is nothing that can compare to this lens. It does not matter what F stop you are shooting. The picture is crystal clear. I highly recommend this lens.

This is a very sharp lence, beautiful picture results. I had bought the nikon 24-70 but I have to say that the nikon 70-200 vr ii is much sharper. If the 24-70 had vr I would definitely like it a little more just because of size.

Nikon's second generation 70-200 is an amazing lens. There is a 3rd generation out now but the price is a bit ridiculous. Images are sharp and you are getting your monies worth with this one.

Lens purchased for use at F1 and has proven to be awesome for the high speed action. Also great for other long distance shots, highly recommended!

I absolutely love the lens. Great for weddings and head shots. The sharpness of the images is amazing and the quick auto focus is even better. Definitely the bang for your bucks.

Got this lens cause of build quality, i knew it will sand up agents the harsh elements of alaska. Its a sharp fast and reliable work horse lens

I use the lense for everything. The only down side is the weight of the lense. It is extremely heavy.

This lens, 70-200 2.8 VRii will last a lifetime. If you have the money this is the one to get. A definite must for sports. Autofocus is fast and accurate.

I didn't invest in this for way to long due to its price tag. I'm not saying it isn't overpriced but it's worth sucking it up to buy it.

I bought this lens to replace my old 80-200mm. This lens is fast, sharp, and has great contrast. Fast auto-focus. I shoot professionally and bought this to use to shoot NBA games this season on assignment. Just a phenomenal lens. This lens has since been replaced by the newest version from Nikon and is really difficult to find. If you can find it buy it! You'll save yourself some money too, the newer version is much more expensive. Best Buy was one of the few places that still had some in stock.
