The clearest lens I have ever owned, and the Photos really show it. I bought this lens to do flat field work from time to time, which it excels in doing with clear crisp images from center to the corners (less drop off at the corners than many of my other lemses). Macro images are very crisp also. Auto focus is extremely quick and accurate. The photo image quality are just a cut above the rest of my lenses.

I bought this baby for food photography mainly, but till now I’ve only tried it with portraits and events photography. I thought it would be restricting but in fact I haven’t changed lenses since I mounted it.. beautiful sharp photos with amazing colors and speed.. I’m in love with the quality of the pics and just can’t stop using it for everything

Bit pricy. Great if your interest is microphotography. Photo quality is pretty awesome. Tried baby photos. Works-well on baby features. But not for baby portraits with small space.

I've been shooting with Nikon equipment for over 30 years and this lens is a valuable addition to my gear. It is one of the sharpest lenses I own and it is very fast.

Great lens at an affordable price for some awesome close-up pictures. I have been very please with this lens. For those desiring the crispest pictures this lens makes a difference over the 85mm lens offered by Nikon. Due to budget constraints I had started with the 85, wish I had just saved a little more longer!

Don't let the Macro label fool you. Yes, this is the best Nikon macro lens made. But it is also a fantastic general purpose mid-telephoto lens and also takes excellent portraits.

The product is great. I am however not sure if I got a brand new product. The box seemed old and was not properly sealed.

My fiancé asked for this for his birthday. At the time we didn’t know how much detail this lens would provide. This lens provides so much detail that when shooting flowers up close, an ant can be seen in detail. Definitely recommend this lens. It is pricey, but definitely worth the money.

I'm not a professional photographer but I really like this lens. It does what I want it to do. I had a Nikon F3 and this type lens back in the early 80s. I think this new version of the lens will work out just fine.

This is the standard by which all macro lenses are judged. Nikon's 105mm micro Nikkor is absolutely gorgeous. Very well made, effective VR, and the sharpest images you could wish for. Outstanding lens!

Was surprised to walk into the store and find it had a full range of Nikon equipment in the Charleston S.C. location. This lens was on my wish list and after getting my hands on it in the store I decided to purchase it. This has become my new favorite lens.

I have had this lens for only two weeks but have shot several photoshoots with this lens and love the sharpness of the macro images. A wonderful lens would recommend this for anyone doing tight tabletop photography!
